Greetings!

I wouldn't call myself a pin trader but I do like to buy and collect pins that are special to me. I haven't been to the parks since the big pin push started in 2000 so I don't really understand the trading thing.

I've found some really old Disney pins that I purchased way back when, and I'm wondering with the pin craze today if they have any real value other than what I associate with my good memories. Is there a way that I can find this out?

To see tradeability, go to pinpics.com and do a search on your pin
(e.g. if it has figment on it search for Figment pins). You can then find out how many people have it for trade and how many people want the pin.
For value, which fluctuates wildly, probably the best place to look is one of the auction sites, especially the one that starts with an e and ends in bay. (Can I do that?)

Pin values are very fluid. The best ways are the ones Daber mentioned. For tradability, check pinpics.com, find the pin, and compare the members trading versus the members wanting. For current secondary market value, check current and completed auctions on auction sites like eBay (you can say it, Daber, you just can't link to it ;) ).

I tried that and couldn't find the pin I'm looking for. I have a pin that I found in my DD's drawer. It does not have the stick pin back, but instead has a clasp back. It is Minnie dreaming of Mickey, and it is not the one I found at pinpics.com of Minnie in a heart. It does say Disney on the back. Any info out there?

MaryJ,

I had one that wasn't up on pinpics. I scanned it and added it, within the *hour* two people had marked it as something they wanted.

If you can get an image up there of the pin give it a try. :-)

I'm afraid that I'm not computer savvy enough to do that! Maybe when the homework slows down for her (haha) I can get my teenage DD to help me!
