Really!? No more Main Street Bakery?!

Has this been discussed yet? I mean....I wouldn't mind a Starbucks too...but To replace and have NO MORE bakery??!! I mean...that is what Main Street USA is all about!

Sounds like the one in Disneyland serves regular starbucks items plus disney bakery items. The CMs don't wear the green or black aprons either. So hopefully it will still seem Disney!

And at Disneyland, the name isn't Starbucks - we walked by it 4 times before my daughter noticed the small "Starbucks" sign. It was extremely crowded when we were there at the beginning of Sept.

I hope Disney finally starts a real modern 2012 shop at the Bakery.
There is a big demand for a communication store that sells everything from a battery to a computer.

The Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe at DCA has incorporated both traditional Disney bakery items (treats & sandwiches) along with the Starbucks pastry staples (sans their hot offerings), along with Starbucks full drink menu.

Here's a photo to give you an idea - Starbucks stuff on the top shelves, Disney stuff on the bottom half. Almost all of the Disney items are identical to what is sold at Disneyland's Jolly Holiday Bakery. which hasn't yet been converted to a Starbucks.

The Starbucks signage on the exterior is very minimal

The best part - I really hope they start to sell hard plastic versions of these:

And YES, the Main Street Bakery IS iconic. If you choose not to go there then That is your business, but you have no right making prejudiced judgements about those that do enjoy it.

I have never bought anything from the Main Street Bakery but I sure like the smell of it as I walk by. I would imagine that Starbucks will be incorporated into the bakery not replace it. It will resolve some of the issues with bad Disney coffee.

Funny that, I love the bakery and buy something huge, sweet & full of calories every time. But I'm not overweight.

Wait a minute, are they slaking about the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom or Disneyland? I thought this was about the bakery in MK, but the mod moved it to the Disneyland board. Doesn't make sense to move it to the DL board if it is about Magic Kingdom.

I think the confusion about this thread is that people are referencing the DCA Starbucks to give an idea of what will happen at the MK, so the mod thought since Disneyland was mentioned in a few posts that it was a Disneyland thing. I wonder if a mod will move it back
