Really ?! No ?DPs during f&w festival

I have seen people mention that there are dp blackouts, does this apply to all dp venues over the whole food and wine festival!?... I'm looking at the smaller venues for escape weddings if that makes any difference?

I believe the rule is "No Epcot DPs on Saturdays during F&W" (someone correct me if i'm wrong); though you can have a Saturday Wishes DP.

I was in EPCOT last Saturday and it was so crowded. I don't think I would want to put my guests through that. My boyfriend even told my that he heard some say they almost had to close the park since it was so crowded. We were there on Sunday and it wasn't as bad.

Well I am glad I read this post...although my plans will now have to change. i was thinking of a Sat night DP at Epcot with a Sunday evening wedding at ADH. By the time I am actually engaged my whole vision of my wedding is probably going to be the complete opposite lol. Could always try a Sunday DP and a Monday wedding....

Although considering the weekend crowds for F&W it might be easier on guests to have a Wishes DP. I just thought it seemed more "special" to bring them into the park in a private area to view the fireworks rather than having everyone come to a hotel to watch from far away.

We were allowed to book a Saturday DP for this year (11/3/12) but a few months after we confirmed our consultant said we were lucky we booked it when we did as they were no longer allowing them due to high crowd levels.

That's correct. For 2012, Epcot said no Friday or Saturday dessert parties. Those who already had one scheduled got to keep the dates. For 2013, all Saturdays during F&W are blacked out.

Oh wow! I had no idea they said no Friday's this year as well! I didn't realize I got mine in under the wire. Hooray!

Now if everyone can cross their fingers for me that it doesn't rain!!! It rained on my future sister-in-law's when she got married 8 years ago.... I wanna go outside and have my ice cream bar and fireworks, lol!
