Hi,

I am really confused about which restaurant we should eat dinner at for our one day at Epcot in May. (We're doing CS for lunch.) Originally when I tried to make an ADR, the only place available at a good time was Biergarten, so I booked it. However, the more I think about it, the more I think that it is really so expensive and I'm not sure I want to spend over $150 for dinner. Plus, I feel like the food is so heavy there, and in the heat, I don't know if we will even eat enough to warrant the expensive pricing. (It's my husband and myself and our three girls, ages 8,6, and 3, plus my parents.)

SO, I happened to look today and there are several restaurants with good availability right now. They are:

Les Chefs de France
Restaurant Marrakesh
La Hacienda de San Angel
San Angel Inn (Is this the same as above? Not sure.)
Akershus (which is also so expensive).

I know nothing about Epcot - I've never been! Any help would be so greatly appreciated. I am getting a headache looking over the menus time and time again!

Thanks so much!

mmm I would keep Biergarten! Your family will practically take up a whole table and the kids will love the music. We have gone at lunch and it is cheaper, that could be an option. TS for Lunch and then counter service for dinner. There are lots of yummy lighter things off the salad bar too. Those marinated Tomatoes and cucumbers macaroni salad are yummy! Throw in a pretzel roll and bowl of soup, and there are all those delish meats too. The atmosphere is so cool in there that it makes a wonderful break in the heat. Just my opinion:lmao: Those other places are good too, but will end up being just as expensive without the entertainment.....

Really like Chefs de France. Basic French fare, and not ridiculously expensive. Also, keep checking for newly available ADRs -- if you have your heart set on any particular place, things will open up!!!

First off...anything and everything Disney is expensive and since you decided to be at Disney it really is a non-issue. Personally, I would recommend Biergarten. Overall, good experience for everyone in the family to include 8 and 10yo. Large steins of beer was an added plus...for the adults :)

IMHO, with kids that age, I would cancel Beirgarten and make a lunch ressie at Chef de France. Ratatouille comes around at lunch, it is very reasonable to eat there (especially at lunch) and the food is delicious. I think your family would really enjoy it.

I do like Beirgarten but you said it when you said heavy food in the heat. My kids did not enjoy the food at all. My husband did but we paid way to much for the little amount of food that me and my kids ate. love the atmosphere but that was about it.

I just went to Biergarten earlier this month and I thought it was great! The food is heavy since there are a lot of meats and stuff but it was all delicious. Also if you time it right there is an oompa band that plays every so often and the kids can go up and dance. There seemed to be many kids enjoying this when I was there.

Alternatively, Akershus may be a good option for your family as you have 3 girls. You will get a picture with Belle included here and your girls will be able to meet the princesses so this may be a good option for you if you don't want to stand in line all day to see them.

The only other one of those restaurants I have been to is Restaurant Marrakesh and I would definitely recommend Biergarten and Akershus over it.

I'd do San Angel. The atmosphere is unique and adds to the experience. Being Mexican you can probably eat cheaper, although as the PP said all Disney is expensive. If your kids appreciate Mexican this would work although keep in mind its not tacos and burritos but it is delicious.
