My BF and her DH are having their 25th anniversary party in 3 weeks...I had a ceramic Slipper made for their wedding at that time...She just told me it was broken in moving. I have been looking for one everywhere, the Arribas store has them, but I can't tell if it is solid or hollow enought to drink from. He is very sick, and we are so glad he is doing well enought to have a party....
I really want to surprise them with another Slipper, and I am the only wedding attendant still alive...( we aren't all that old, just some of us got sick..).
If anyone has seen the slippers in the store, I am looking at the medium size one with the silver heart, about $65, online
Would get one some where else, but I have googled Champange Slipper flute, Cinderella Champange glass/flute and a bunch of other ideas.
Thanks everyone! I am running out of time...Don't want to have to drive 6+ hours each way last minuet to get one...And I don't plan on having them ingrave it- maybe that would save time?

Can you call the store and ask them? They should be able to tell you.

If I remember correctly it is not hollow the whole why through the shoe. I think it would only hold a sip ot two.

It's not strictly Cinderella, but Fenton made a glass slipper as part of their Depression glass collection and there are lots of Fenton glass slippers on ebay right now.

Here's a link that turns up a bunch of them: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=glass+slipper+fenton&_sacat=0&_odkw=glass+slipper&_osacat=0

I think they were originally toothpick holders.

If you want new ones, which may or may not be from the same molds now that I think of it, Mosser Glass sells them, I'd just call them up and see if either they can sell direct to you or if there's a site online that can.

Thank you so much! I don't really care if it is a Cindy slipper or not. This started out as a joke 25 years ago by the Groom...at that time I could only find a ceramic one, which was in the wedding colors, a puce pink. Not as bad as it sounds.
Going to go and check the ebay and glass site! I think one of them would work! Funny how I tried ebay and google searchs first and didn't come up with any thing! But the same thing happens when my kids are trying to look for something online....I can usualy find it, they say it is because I have a different way of searching/and bad spelling. Amazing what shows up when you totally mess the spelling up!

If you really want to go all out there is a glass blowing store at Disney World.
They do make some glass slippers but they really arent made to drink from.

There is also other folks who hand blow glass. There is glass blowers all over the country.

There is the Corning glass musuem in NY that does glass blowing demos every day and might have/know a glass blower willing to help out.

It might be kind of pricey but would also be more unique.
It might not be as expensive at the $65 the other piece is though either depending on the size, detail, and the blower.
They may even be willing to cut you a deal if they know the circumstances... who knows.

My daughter was proposed to last June at Cindy's castle at the Royal Table. It included in the package a glass Cindy slipper with the engagement ring slipped onto rolled rose petals. The kids took it home and then it prominently became the center of the theme of their wedding 3 months ago in March. It is large enough to sip champagne from.

You could call their toll free number and ask to speak to a special occassions castmember who can do just about anything someone wants them to when it comes to all things Disney....this is where we got the whole proposal idea.

They may be able to get one of those slippers from the Castle's Royal Table restaurant and sell it to you????

Just a thought and best of luck on such a great endeavor!!:wizard:

Not to rain on your parade, but you should check to see if the couple really wants a replacement of the slipper.

I have a few friends who moved and had things break "accidentally on purpose" because they didn't want them. (One told me that she just donated it before she moved and told the giver that it had broken.)

Just a suggestion since you say that it started out as a joke. While the joke may have been funny, the slipper might have become a white elephant for them.

You can call WDW merchandising and order it and they will mail it to you.

Thanks MineMail...I did check with my BF, she said her DH was very upset when it was broken...We are hoping that this party will go better then the orginal reception...They won a Wedding cake from a famous Los Angles bakery, but the delivery person got in a accident on the way to the reception, left the site of the accident, and the cake never came. Thank goodness the hotel was close to a restraunt that was famous for its deserts and cakes. We ended up with about 8 or 9 different types of cakes, everyone thought it was planned. The "Slipper" ended up as the cake topper.
I wouldn't even care if it was a nicer plastic one! And as we arn't sure how much longer we are going to have her DH around,he has been very ill, it is something that will make him laugh! Worth every penny to me!
But I do agree it is a very good idea to check on something like this...if I wasn't the only member of the wedding party still alive I would call some of them to check!
And you all rock! As usual, DIS members come up with great ideas!

Funny - I remembered seeing there was a thread about this when I was just looking over the Disney shopping website and noticed a glass slipper. I'm not sure if it was already mentioned, but they have the smaller Aribas Glass Slipper for $35.00 and today there is free shipping. :thumbsup2 I found it on page 4 of the "New Arrivals".

Thanks,
Heather
