Taking a short 3 day trip and have a free morning, I'd like to incorporate a nice breakfast into some decor seeing that earlier part of the day, would love a recommendation, TIA!!

I absolutely love The Wave breakfast. They have a really good buffet at an affordable price. About $23 per person. You can hop on the monorail and check out the resorts decore. Grand Floridian Cafe is also great (its al carte, not buffet).
Kona cafe is ok, but not as good as The Wave or GFC in my opinion.

My favorite breakfast is Boma, but that doesn't really fit well into your plan.
The Wave, follwoed by the monorail loop looks like a great option.
Or something at Beach Club or Yachtclub and touring those areas. They are always decorated well.

Boma is the best buffet breakfast at Disney.....no characters.....for which you can likely get a reservation.
Fresh, inside Dolphin, is also an excellent breakfast. 'Better than' Boma if freshly pressed juices (i.e., wheatgrass, carrot) are your pleasure.
But if you happen to be able to snag a Sunday Brunch at CA Grill, then that's even better than either Boma and/or Fresh, albeit, for much more money....but it comes with a priceless view.
We finally tried The Wave on our last trip, and it is our new favorite. Service was stellar, and the buffet was amazing, good variety and everything we tried was very tasty.
Disney really does marvelous breakfasts. You can't go wrong with the aformentioned The Wave, which I loved last year, but also fantastic is both Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian Cafe and yes, of course, Boma, too. I've always really enjoyed all the various character buffets for breakfast as well, especially the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. I've never had a bad breakfast anywhere in Disney, actually.
I love breakfast! My favorites at Disney are Boma (repeating other's comments), The Grand Floridian Cafe, Crystal Palace, Tusker House, The Plaza, and of course, Cali Grill Sunday Brunch.
