We are BWVs owners and stay there almost exclusively. (We have, over the years, stayed other places, but we really love BWV and find that it's our favorite.) We decided to try BCV this summer since we were taking friends and would have their 14 year old son and our own. We were amazed and absolutely satisfied by our stay. The staff at BCV is absolutely the best we have encountered at any DVC resort. From the second we arrived until after we checked out, we received service that was the best. (I even told a few cast members that I wanted them to talk to some of the staff members at BWV!:goodvibes) We had a few little maintenance issues, and they were addressed with absolute haste. Nothing that we asked for seemed too problematic. Our kids (two 14 year old boys) were treated with respect and good humor. It was just simply Disney at its best.

Thanks for sharing with us, BCV owners! And thanks to those of you who gave me tips as we planned. We used the "secret path" a lot!

We have stayed at every DVC resort on property and while BCV is not my most favorite or least favorite resort, I have to agree that without exception, they have the best staff on any DVC location on property.

What is the secret path? The one going inside the BC and ending up right at the bridge?
Do tell!!

LOL -- In a previous post, there was a reference to the "secret path" that went on for some time. It is the one that runs from the courtyard area along the woods and comes out at the gate, pretty much at the bridge.

We had a good time while we were there referring to it as a secret and asking one another for the secret handshake, etc. Strange in joke. But when you've been walking all day, almost anything seems silly.

Yup, that is our way too! If it is hot, we travel inside BC and when it is nice, we do the courtyard route!

BCV is not our home either, but it is my second favorite resort.

We stayed at BCV over Christmas and I thought the same thing about all the CMs there (and prior to that we had stayed at SSR, VWL and BWV). I attribute it to a different general manager, possibly, with better management skills.

I'm so glad you loved our "home"!!:cool1: Isn't it awesome? We too use that secret path. One thing though, don't you feel really weird being THAT close to these people's rooms? I always feel bad for them too, having virtually no privacy on those patios. What do you guys think? It sure is a fantastic way to get to Epcot though.:thumbsup2

We love the BCV--we've had equally good CMs at OKW too though. The absolute worst CMs we've ever encountered were at the BWV--unbelievable rude and arrogant--like we didn't know anything, to the point, that we haven't gone back and may not.

We love the "secret" path. Well, until we encountered a big black snake sitting on someone's patio one day! We seriously thought it was fake--but uh nope! We keep ours eyes wide open now and focused ahead when we walk quickly through the "secret" pathway! Could you imagine having one of those rooms and leaving your door open!:scared1: I would die!

We also encountered a black snake while on the path in June!! It freaked me out a little, it was just hanging out sleeping in the grass... :scared1::scared1:

We also stayed there just last week and absolutly love it!! Been there for the past 2 years and we agreed to try somewhere new next year. Have done BWV and SSR as well.. Cant figure out where to stay next. Cant beat the location over there.. We may go back to the Boardwalk.

Glad you liked BCV. We enjoyed our visit to BWV a few years back as well, so we're even. :thumbsup2

BCV is our home resort, and we really had a great experience on our last stay. I ended up in the ER at Celebration hospital, and the staff at BCV was great. They comped the taxi, the prescriptions, called to make sure everything was all right, did we need anything, etc. Don't know if that's par for the course for hotels or Disney, and I hope not to find out, but I was impressed.

This is good to hear. As a BWV owner, I love the boardwalk view. We were moved to BCV for our October trip due to construction at BWV. We've never stayed at BCV but it sounds like we may like it afterall. Never having been there though, I have no idea where this secret path is. :confused3

I am really excited for our trip in 3 weeks! I picked BCV 'cuz I thought SAB would be a great bonus for a summer vacation for DS...then we're trying VB for 3 nights - so we are trying 2 new resorts this trip!:goodvibes We just stayed at SSR in May and I thought the CM's there were really nice too. I hear they are also super nice at VB too...so it sounds like we are in for a treat at both resorts!!:yay:

It's a way to go to Epcot from BCV without going through the BC. Leave BCV by the Ariel Statue, walk toward the Marketplace, but make a left at the path by the smoking corner, then make a right. The BC will be on the right and woods will be on the left. The path is adequately lit at night. Follow it out and you'll intersect the path to Epcot that goes along the Boardwalk.

Glad you had a great time, it is a wonderful Resort. And yes they do have a new GM and they got one of the Disney's best. :thumbsup2
