Sorry - this may sound stupid, but we've just never done this b4...our DS is now over 1 and weighs enough to be turned forward in his car seat. When we fly with the car seat, can that face forward in the plane? Sorry...for some reason when researching his first flight and he was flying rear-facing, I thought I read that you can't face them forward... :confused3

Thanks! Lisa

I'm fairly sure you would face the seat forward if that is what you do in the car. Otherwise, his feet would hit the back of the seat, wouldn't they? That is dangerous.

When you board the plane, the flight attendants will assist you if you ask them.

Enjoy your trip!

You would face the car seat forward, just like in the car. Not a stupid question at all - it's always better to be safe!

Have a great time!

I think you would do whatever you do in the car. BUT, as a previous poster suggested, there is nothing "dangerous" about babies feet touching the seat when rear-facing. Rear facing is much safer than forward facing, as long as the carseat and baby meet the RF requirements.
