reallocating points

well, I screwed up. I cancelled the last day of a ressie, I thought I was 31 days out, but I didn't realize they count the days from the first day of the ressie. So they went into holding (16 points) The lady said being I have a ressie later this use year, call 60 days out and ask them to reallocate my points, that is use the holding points toward that ressie. I never heard of this before, is it common practice? I seem to remember a few years ago I had points in holding, and it turned into a big hairy deal.

They can do this for you. The one "catch" is that there has to be availability. Be careful when you do this that they don't cancel the night(s) before they re-book them with the holding points.
