Reallocating Points at 7 Months

I probably already know the answer to this but thought I would ask anyway. I have 7 HHI points that I can bank into my June 2017 UY. The only trip we have planned for that UY is next fall. We are hoping to get an AKV value studio with our AKV points. We've always had luck, so hoping we can get it again by calling on the dot at 11 months out. My question is if I call at 7 months out, will they reallocate the points so that I can use my 7 HHI points without cancelling and rebooking? I know if I have to cancel it, I will lose it immediately. I figure the answer is no, but just making certain. Thanks!

If there is still availability for one of your nights at 7 months, they may do it in that case. They will not substitute if there is no availability.

Book the value online since that window starts at 8 am while MS opens at 9. As noted, you can't substitute in a way that effectively circumvents the home resort rules. However, if ANY days are available or you can get them by wait list you can effectively switch them out. It might be better to do something other than value if you can't get value so you could use the banked points.
