Realistically speaking how "fast" is WDW bus transportation?

i am trying to gage since when making our ADR they said allow 1hour travel time.

here are my concerns on how do iget there:

getting from MK --> whispering canyon --> MK
getting from ASMo --> chef mickey's --> downtown disney --> ASMo
getting from AK --> Boma --> MK

do i really need 1 hour to get to the ADR's?

Mk to wispering Can take the boat from MK to Wildernes log.


Asmo to Chef Mickey Bus to Mk then Moniral to Cont resort, Then from Cont resort to DTD bus from Cont to DTD .then from DDT to Asmo your bus from DTD.
don't know about Boma where is it?

I guess there might be times that it will take and hour, but on the average I don't think that is the case. Like MK to whispering canyon, if you wait 20-30 minutes till the boat comes and then add the time it takes to get there it is close to an hour. You may not wait that long for the boat, it just depends.
Now ASMo to chef mickeys if I were you I would take the bus to MK as long as it is during MK's hours and then either us the monorail or just walk over to the CR. AK to Bomas is only a 5 minute bus ride but you could wait 20 minutes or longer for the bus. So as you can see were it may be possible sometimes for it take long it really just depends on how long you wait for the bus or boat.

I do allow an hour for worst case but its usually faster. Bus service is about every 20 minutes so if you have to wait that 20 minutes and your trip is one of the further ones it could very well take you an hour.

So I would take;
boat from MK to WL for whispering canyon - depends on wait time for the boat - could be as quick as 1/2 hour but I would allow an hour, WL is fun if you get there early have a beverage and relax!

bus from ASMo to MK and then monorial to CR, this can easily take an hour, then bus from CR to DTD and then bus back to ASMo

bus from AK to AKL, probably closer to 1/2 hour, bus from AKL to MK

Once you get the hang of it I think WDW transportation is great, esp if you allow for wait times. I like to relax on vacaton and to me that means not driving

According to to studies in the Journal of Bus Driving the following has been observed:
If you allow an hour for these trips, you will obtain transportation immediately and get there in about 30 minutes.
If you allow 30 minutes you will just miss a bus and get there in a little under an hour.
