I'm working on a grand gathering for 26..yes that's right! And we're all planning on using the dining plan. I've used it 3x already, but I'm wondering if anyone has any input on which restaurants would be able to accomodate that size party best. And if you've booked a grand gathering similar to our size which restaurants were your best experiences? I'm planning for our sit down meal to be our one meeting place each day so it's important that it's not a complete nightmare. Thanks in advance!

Wow. I don't have a lot to offer, but thought I'd give my 2 cents anyway ;). We have a party of 10 and the only place that could seat all 10 of us together at a table was 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Hope you have a great time!

I believe they had some pretty large tables at O'hana. That would be a nice meal together--one of our family favorites.

We have a group of nine going this Saturday and we did have some issues trying to get nine of us together. Good luck with 26.

We did a Grand Gathering last summer with 16 - we didn't eat all our meals together but here is a list of the ones that we did:

Biergarten - 2 tables next to each other
Sci-Fi - 3 cars next to each other
Crystal Palace - one long table
Liberty Tree Tavern - two tables in front of each other
Coral Reef - 3 tables - two next to each other, and one in front of the other
Beaches and Cream - one long table (a bunch of tables pushed together)
50's Prime Time Cafe - two tables back to back

HTH!

We had a GG of 14 and this is what we had. We did dinner together every night.

Chefs de France - One long table
Crystal Palace - One long table
1900 Park Fare 2 tables next to each other
Ohana - One long table
LeCellier - One long table next to one smaller table
WCC - One long table
Boma - One long table
Narcoosee's - One long table (best meal of trip)

Overall they did a fantastic job accomadating our party. We could all talk with each other no problems even if we had two tables next to each other.

We've always had luck with Crystal Palace, Tusker House, Cinderella's Castle, Boma's, San Angel Inn, Marakesh and Le Cellier. They might not be able to seat everyone at once...party of 8 here, party of 10 there, party of 10 here, etc...but they were all within speaking distance of one another and we were all seated within 5 minutes of each other. There is a special number just for Grand Gatherings who will be able to help set your ADR's.
