Realistic timing off the plane and into the park

We land on a Sunday at 9:40 AM. We are going straight to CBR to drop our bags and get on the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios. We are three adults so not dealing with strollers, etc. Do you think we can be in the park by noon?

I suppose it could be possible. Are you only bringing carryon bags or checked luggage that you will have to pick up? What will your transportation be from the airport to the CBR? If it is carryon and an Uber/Lyft then you will have a better chance or at least somewhere close to noon.

Rental car? Ride share? Other service?

If your flight lands right on time, you're looking at perhaps 30 minutes until you get your bags. Picking up a rental car or ride share can be somewhat unpredictable. But if you're on your way to Disney by 10:30 or so, you'll likely be at CBR by 11:15. Sunday morning traffic is hopefully not as busy as weekday mornings. Drop off the bags - seems like noon is doable - or at least very close to it.

That’s doable if your flight is on time, you do carryons, and you take a Lyft/Uber. I just did something similar last Sunday:

Flight landed at 7:20am
Called for an Uber at 7:40am
Uber arrived at 7:44am
Arrived at Boardwalk at 8:10am
Changed into park clothes, dropped bags off at Bell Services
Walked to International Gateway at Epcot, purchased an annual pass and got through the entry gates by 8:25am to line up for Remy’s.

I imagine if you’re going to Hollywood Studios from CBR, the amount of time it took me to walk to Epcot and purchase my annual pass would be about the same amount of time.

Have fun!

Baggage at MCO can be sloooooooowww. I've sometimes waited an hour from when my plane landed to when I got my bags. Even on a good day it's a solid half hour waiting. If you're just doing carryons, that'll save you a lot of time.

A few weeks ago we landed at 7:00pm and were at Beach Club by 8:30, so it’s definitely doable. We only had carry-ons and did the skip the counter with the rental car though, so once we were off the plane we were out of the airport pretty fast.

If you are on a tight schedule, one option is to use a luggage delivery service to send your bags to the hotel ahead of time. We used to use luggagefree.com regularly when our kids were smaller but there are many others. You can then stroll off your plane into an Uber/Lyft directly to the park with no need to wait for or schlep checked bags, and if your flight is on time you will get to the park by 10:30 or so.

I think a lot has to go right for the timeline you are proposing. After the airplane lands (assuming it is on time), you still have to taxi to your gate so it isn't like you are going to be exiting the airplane the moment it lands. If you sit near the back of the plane can be several minutes until all those in front of you have also exited. Then you either have to walk to baggage claim or if only carry-ons, exit the terminal for whatever sort of ground transportation you plan to use. Driving to Disney can take a variable amount of time based on traffic.

Does it really matter if you get to the park at some specific time? Likely you will want to eat lunch if you are arriving in that timeframe and it has already been a long day from getting up early to catch your flight.

@CStorm how do you plan to get to CBR? That’s key to your answer.
That's only one part. You also need to know if there any checked bags? That can add anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour (possibly more).

All times below are estimates on the conservative side (assuming things take a little longer than what you'd normally think).
"Arrival time" is generally the time expected at the gate. Let's start that as "00:00"
Off the plane (obviously depends on front/middle/back), but let's say 10:00 to play it safe.
Through the terminal, bathroom break, on the monorail, and to the baggage area: +10:00 (so now at 20:00)
First variable, do you need to collect bags? If so, +20:00, if not 0.
Transportation. Rental Car: Do you need to go to the counter? If so +20, If not, +5. Ride share: +10. Shared shuttle +10. Private Shuttle + 5
Drive to CBR. Shared shuttle +1:00, all others +30
Drop bags, skyliner to HS: +30

So you're looking at getting to HS anywhere from 90 minutes to two and a half hours after the plane parks at the gate. So yes, possible to be at the park by noon, but not a guarantee.

ETA: I think it is POSSIBLE to get from the plane to a park in an hour, but 90 minutes is probably more realistic.

I am going to look into this because we are definitely checking a bag. My daughter is a make up artist, her make up alone takes up half of the suitcase.

I’m trying to plan my LLMP times

In that case, I think you’ll be fine if your flights aren’t delayed and nothing weird happens with the bags (and I wouldn’t hire anyone to handle the luggage- the odds of a long delay there are like a long delay with your flight, they happen but are not the norm).

It's definitely doable. 30 minutes to pick up bags, 40 minute Uber/cab ride, 30 minutes to drop your bags and get to the skyliner station, and 15 minutes for a short line and the ride over. That would mean getting off the Skyliner at 11:35.
