We're not new to WDW but only stayed onsite a few times and always had a rental car. This will be our 1st ME experience and can't find an answer in the stickies.

Our flight is due to arrive 8:45 pm on a Tues night. I imagine that's not a crowded time at MCO so wondering if they'd wait a while before making a delivery run. :confused3

I'm wondering whether it's worth using the yellow tags for luggage delivery. Would our bags arrive in our room at midnight? or would they probably be riding the same bus as us? We'd probably be up until 11 or so but want to get an early start at MK.

wwyd?

(fwiw, most of our luggage would be for our cruise, sailing Thurs. I've considered using a carryon for clothes/stuff for MK just in case our bags don't get delivered until the next morning.)

You should see it within 3-4 hours after RESORT CHECK-IN! not landing :). Figure 70 min or so to get from landing til you get to resort. So just shy of 10pm. So you luggage wouldnt show up til about 1-2 am probably. You want to do the carry on thing anyway in case your luggage is delayed or anything. Arriving that late you can either get the luggage from the carousel, or just tell them to deliver it the next AM.

Your bags would NOT go on the same bus with you using DME, as it's a totally separate system.

Thanks, this is great info. So at check in, we could specify that they deliver our bags the next day while we're at MK? Whom would we then tip for our bag delivery? or do most guests never see their bags being delivered?

If you land, ontime, at 8:45, you should be at your resort by 10ish. This would mean that you could expect your bags at any time, up until about 1am. If it were me, I would have those essentials in the carryon bags, then when you get to the resort, tell them to hold your luggage until the next morning. Then, stop over at Luggage Assistence/Bell Services (depending on the resort) and tell them the same thing.
When you get to your room, hang out the 'privacy please' hanger on the outside of the door. When you get up in the morning, you will most likely have a message on your room phone telling you that your bags are there and to call when you want them.

Because you are using DME, you don't have to tip for the bag delivery. Your bags are supposed to 'magically' appear in your room. So, yes, give them a call and tell them you are leaving and they can bring the bags whenever is good for them. If they try to tell you that you must be in your room to accept delivery, just politely tell them that they are from DME and that you do NOT have to be there.
