My best Disney tip is to relax and try not to obsess about things you can't control. Definitely plan (we went the week leading up to Christmas, and had a great time going for park opening and leaving midafternoon), but don't worry the small stuff once you've made your plan.

You can have a great trip even if your room doesn't have a great view (mostly you'll look at the inside of your eyelids there anyway).... and you'll be happy even if you don't get a single towel animal (with or without tip ;) )

Well said, Jean. Too much worry can totally ruin a trip. BE MELLOW. Go with the Flow.

So you're saying to leave my Palm Pilot at home? LOL! :) Yikes!

Yes! Put down the Palm Pilot and back away. ;)

It's funny you mention it. I was an obsessive Palm user until 4 weeks ago which was my last appointment with my optometrist. My vision has deteriorated significantly in the last year. We discussed whether me reading WDW trip reports on my Palm pilot in a dark room every night for at least an hour was contributing to my eye problems. We couldn't rule it out so I am going cold turkey. (It helps that my Tungsten T has digitizer problems.) So I've found that it IS possible to live without a Palm! LOL It's a bit harder to live without the trip reports. I've had to resort to Dorothy Sayer's mysteries...

LOL! I would probably suffer from withdrawal symtoms. But I will do without it for 10 days - I guess my digital camera and digital camcorder will have to supplement my tech addicition!

Hello my name is Lil and I am addicted to technology! :bitelip:

Hello! My name is Tanya I'm a Palm Pilot puff!

It got so bad one time that DH took it away from me at MK for about 3 hours because he couldn't take it anymore. My sister tells me I'm missing all the fun, but I can have fun and use my Palm at the same time. It's like air, I can't live without it. Oh and I have the Tungsten E and I love it! It's better than carrying around a pad and pen or a even a Passporter. :)

Very well said Jean!!

I agree with you. On our last trip I realized that we will be back every year. For that reason I take my time and don't rush around trying to squeeze everything in on one trip.
This past trip we did half of the AK this year we'll do the other half and the same with each park.
The kids (and adults) enjoyed the trip much more that way. It also allowed us time to relax around the pool each day.

Before when we would come home from WDW I would need a day to relax and recover. Not anymore!! A vacation is supposed to be relaxing, not stressfull.

You all are so right. Being at WDW is not the time to worry about the job or bills or all that other stuff we leave behind. I know it can be difficult but when I walk under the train tracks into the Magic Kingdom I literally am able to leave it all behind. I only carry my cell phone for emergency and my family knows better than to call me while at WDW so when it rang while we were there in August I started to immediatley worry. It was my work in California asking me a dumb question. Boy was I mad and they knew it. How dare they! I let them know it also. However, being that I was in the most magical place on earth-I was back to my non-reality within a few minutes. Just the way I like it.

Have a Magical Day!
