It is premiering right now on Bravo...I'm loving it (probably because I only live a town over from these ladies)...Anyone else watching?

Oh . . . I have it DVR'ed and will be ready to discuss tomorrow night. Please carry on without me, and I will join in on the fun later. LOL! Can't wait. Certainly one of life's GUILTY pleasures!

I grew up in NJ, Franklin Lakes was in my backyard and I had my wedding at the Brownstone...
I will really enjoy watching this season!!

This episode has been on for weeks. I'm ready for the regular season to begin. I will, however, definitely miss NYC housewives. They were by far my favorite and had many of the ones you "most love to hate".

Explain the relationships. I fell asleep during the show. I know there are 2 sisters and their sister-in-law. Do the other 2 have family relationships with the rest or are they just friends of the sister-in-law?

I too live very near these ladies - and have frequented the Brownstone many times. All I can say is "ugh". Could they have made NJ look ANY worse last night?

:wave2:I grew up in Wayne, and I agree!

How cool!!!

My dad was telling me that he's pretty sure that the father "Tiny Manzo" (that was killed in a mob hit in the 80's) lived in Wayne at the time. He remembers reading about it in the paper.

I watched it and swore that Dina looked familiar. Then it hit me when they mentioned the Brownstone -- she was on some wedding show on WE.

What they have shown for weeks is a 30 minute preview special that had clips from the first and second episodes. But what aired last night was the regular one hour show. They didn't show Danielle getting stood up in the preview special.

Yes, Dina was either on Platinum weddings or Bridezillas or one of those. She was horrible on that too. And her husband came across as pathetic - that's all I remember about it.

I don't follow these reality show people outside of the show and an occasional chat group snark session, but I can't wait to hear through the grapevine how Blondie explains parking (practically sideways) in a handicapped spot at the salon.

You can tell the editors are salivating over these women! (I do wish they'd leave their young kids out of it -- nothing good will come of it for either young daughter)

The older boys are adults and can take their lumps.

JFranklyn -- do you mean that the father of the two women or the father of the two men was mobbed up? Because that just makes the paranoia about the other woman's possible mob connections all the richer!

The father of the two men was the one that was killed in a hit - I think it was 1983 or so. There is definately reason to believe there are mob ties for any of these women - as sad as that is.

I grew up in Wayne too!

I agree - could we be anymore stereotypical North Jersey?

I actually worked in Franklin Lakes in high school (at the Market Basket)...and had my junior formal at the Brownstone (along with the Clinton '92 post-election party for campagin workers, several fashion shows and a few sweet sixteens).

(but I can't wait to watch this season!)

I just watched it - I'm originally from Morris County and my husband and I lived in Millburn for a few years when we first were married so I'm pretty excited about it! I think it's trash TV at its finest!!!

I watched last nite too, I kind of thought Dina was funny. But danielle now thats a hot mess. And to say that her daughters are her best friends.
