Howdy,

My Mother and I have been reading the boards about all the wonderful snacks at WDW :mickeybar My mother just loves cotton candy, and we know you can get it in bags down there. Is there anyplace at WDW that makes "true" cotton candy? :scratchin

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!!!:flower3:

They do make if fresh at the Confectionary on Main Street, but it is only sold in bags. Not on sticks, probably too much of a hazard there. You have to be lucky to get the fresh though, since they only make it a few times a day there.

I think they make it fresh at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort. Kona has WONDERFUL desserts, and one fo the best is a "kiddie cone" you wouldn't believe. It is a giant homemeade waffle cone filled with vanilla and chocolate ice cream. It has chocolate sauce and Mickey head-shaped chocolates and cookie wafers sticking out of the top. The whole thing is "cemented" onto the plate with chocolate so it sticks up for you to eat it. And surrounding the whole cone? A "wreath" of wonderful blue cotton candy! I have been there for breakfast while the pastry chef was beginning to make the desserts (for the upcoming lunch crowd) and you could smell the burning sugar... YUM... If you get a chance, head on over to the Poly for this wonderful treat!
