Reagan Airport (DC) Parking Help

What is the parking situation for Reagan Airport in DC? Is there parking at the airport, or do I need to park at a hotel and shuttle to the airport?

There is long term parking (and I assume shorter term parking) which is easy to access. and I've used a few times before.

DCA has long-term parking on the airport that is away from the terminal but the buses run frequently. We've had 6 a.m. flights and never had to wait more than a couple of minutes, even at 4-something in the morning.
We only had a shuttle delay issue once getting back to the parking lot in the dozens of times we've used it (and that was on a return trip late at night.) We plan to park here again on our next trip.

Just a warning - parking at DCA tends to be pricey (at least compared with IAD) - there are some private/offsite lots in Crystal City that may be a better deal (and they have shuttles).

I would suggest parking at either Franconia-Springfeld, Huntington, Whirle-reston East or Greenbelt (depending where you are coming from) and taking the Metro to Reagan. The parking fills up at those stations quickly and has a daily cost of $8.95 per day during Monday-Friday. DC Metro Parking is free during weekends. It's easiest from Franconia-Springfield or Huntington because they are on lines that go directly to DCA.
