Well I am ready to make reservations for 2 rooms for july 24th through august 2nd. Actually I only need one of the rooms for that long because my sister and nephew are only staying until the 30th. Anyway we want to stay at PO-R and we would like a room close to a parking lot, easy access to the lake(so we can boat over to DTD) and I don't know if they have balconies or not but that too. I know that I should make the reservation now for room only then wait for the AP rates to come out and change over right? What number is it that I call for that then? Thank you to all the disney gurus out there in advance:)

You can call 407-w-disney
As for POR, They do not have balconies. nor can you get both parking lot and river view, so you will have to pick one.
Have your request listed on your resv and then 3 days before your arrival fax the front desk.

I have a link that shows pictures of the resort and will give you a better idea.

Thanks for responding but I actually thought there was a different number I called or is that just when I want to change them to the AP rate?
Also we don't want a river or parking lot view we just want to be close to them. My sister will have a rental car for the few days she is there and would prefer not to have to walk that far. We also wanted something close to the river for the boat that goes to DTD. We will probably just be getting a standard view.
So basically what I want to know is what building to request at PO-R. Thanks again:)

Building 14, 15 and 18 in AB would be closest to the main building and the marina. Building 15 would be closer to the parking lot and 14 closer to the main bldg and marina. However, 14 is usually reserved for guests with disabilities. Building 18 would be closer to the river but not necessarily closer to the marina, but it is a smoking building.

Go to the Dis Home page and click on Disney Resorts to find a link for resort maps and you can pull up POR to see the layout of it. That would give you a better idea of the layout. I would not pay for a waterview at a moderate resort since you don't have a balcony and people are walking by your window.

Yes, you would call the 407-W-Disney number for AP discounts. I've also called the DC number (only for members) and if someone there can't help you, they will transfer you to CRO.
