Sitting on Air Canada plane almost ready for takeoff to Orlando. Will spend three days at Disney and then over to Our timeshare at Cape Canaveral for a week. We arrived at airport at 2:30 for our 5:50 flight. I had already uploaded all our vaccine and testing info into the system the night before at check in so when we arrived at airport we just used machines to get bag tags and then dropped bags off. I have Nexus but husbands had expired and son doesn’t have one but they told all of us to go through Nexus line. However the regular line was really short too. Also Customs line was short for everyone. From arriving at airport to sitting at gate was 25 minutes! Really advise flying on a weekday (we are here Thursday) and later afternoon seems better than mornings. Our plan is to test at Walgreens next Thursday. I’m sure our flight home which arrives Sunday afternoon will be nowhere near as easy but I’m pleasantly surprised today!

When we went last month we flew back (AC) on a Sunday arriving at YYZ at about 6pm. Customs was a breeze. We were off the plane and heading to our car in the parking lot in about 30 mins. Have a great trip!

I've been keeping an eye on morning flights from YYZ to MCO and they've been pretty much on time this week.

I wish we had your luck! We’re at the airport right now. Got here just before 6:30 for our 9:30 flight. We’re not even being allowed into the security/customs area yet.
Air Canada also wouldn’t accept my negative test result online, so im guessing I’ll have to go talk to someone at the gate.

I'm here now, flew in from YYZ on Wednesday morning. Was at the airport 3.5 hours before flight, and the flight was still delayed, albeit only 20 minutes, due to line ups for security and customs. My wife flew three weeks ago on a Friday, and stood in line for 3 hours, their flight also delayed, and some people turned away, their luggage removed. I think they revamped the system somewhat since then, but it still seems to be a hit and miss.
All day rain today in Kissimmee, but I'll be at EPCOT regardless. Enjoy the trip!

20 minutes is great compared to what it was last week. I think 20 minutes is actually considered on time.

Keep us updated as to what time they let you in. We've got that flight on Dec. 1 (although it has been changed to 9:50).

What time did you get through security/customs?

Doing the 9:30 AM flight to MCO next Thurs.

A YYZ update. At around 7:40 we were allowed to line up for security. 8:05 now and in line for customs. The line is huge.
Someone tried to get to the front of the customs line since their flight leaves at 8:30, and they told him to get back in line.
Everything is very organized, just lots of people here

I’ll update once we’re through customs. But it looks like it’ll be a while.

Seems a little crazy. 25 mins to get through security isn't bad. Hopefully customs is smooth sailing.

Security wasn’t bad at all. The thing that took longest was they pulled one of our bags, and the guy ahead of us was trying to get through with a full size bottle of wine, and couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t let him.
We’re about halfway through the customs line. The line is moving pretty quick.

Pretty crazy that they tell you to be at the airport more than three hours in advance but only let you in your line less than 2 hours in advance. I assume it all depends on how many customs officials they have working.

We got to the gate around 8:40. Our flight will be boarding in 10. Hopefully my husband can grab me a coffee before that.

That's good news. Usually i like to have more time, but that was pre-covid. Safe travels, and have a great trip!

we left on Friday morning for a 10:30 flight. We went through the Nexus line only to see the other line moving twice as fast. They had 7 gates open to one for nexus.
