I think that this is crazy. Flying is uncomfortable enough but I can't begin to imagine standing up the whole time.

Saw this on Jay Leno tonight and thought it was a joke! Hey, I'd have more room standing up than squished into some of those tiny plane seats!

If I wasn't going to far it wouldn't be bad. You don't get any leg room in the seats anyway and I have short legs! If the price was right I would do it.

The thing to me is they remind me of the rest bars that we use at the post office on the mailroom floors. It sounds like a good 'theory', but I can tell you those rest bars are something awful on the back! I think I'll stick to the regular seats.

Somehow I can't imagine the FAA approving something like this even for short haul flights. It just doesn't sound like it would be very safe to me.
