Does anyone have one of these? Would like to know your opinions on them. Does the cover come off so you can wash it? What age child is it suitable for? Is it pretty sturdy.

My kids love to sleep by the Christmas tree. This would be easier than moving their twin mattresses and wouldn't take up as much space as inflating our queen air mattress.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but we got two of them for our kids last year for Christmas (from Target) and they are now broken. There may be a hole some where, I'm not sure. The beds were great to have for about 3 months. Keep in mind my kids' age rage is 4 and 5. The bed comes w/ a hand pump and a tube to attach to the bed so you can "pump" it up. I liked that feature b/c my kids were able to blow up their own bed. Storage is an issue. If you are a creative folder you should be able to get bed rolled up back in its bed. As you can see, the blow up beds were not a success in my home. They are very cute, easy to clean, but in our home, we had issues. Good luck on making your decision.

we bought the princess one for my dd's to use on our last trip. We haven't had any problems with it. It doesn't get used much, just when we travel, once or twice a yr. It lives in my closet when not in use so it doesn't get jumped on, eaten by the dog, pounced on by the cat, etc. I'd say, depending on the kid's size, up to maybe 10 or 11. Unless you've got a small kid they would be to tall after that. My 6 yr old's had no problems with it but my 12 yr old was to big. Hope this helps.

We have one and it works fine for us. We've had it for awhile now and it has developed a slow leak. It's not a problem for sleeping on though. The cover comes off easy, is easy to clean and we've never had a problem storing it. My son is 4-1/2 and he fits it fine. I only see it fitting him for another two or three years. He's tall though.

We have one that we got about a year and a half ago for our DS (then 4). He used it for about 3 weeks during a move (motels, grandma's house, etc.). He now uses it occasionally when we travel. He likes it a lot and we have had no problems with it. The cover does come off for washing. It inflates and deflates very easily. Sometimes when DS sleeps in it I have found that he has flipped it over in the night and is sleeping on the bare floor with the air mattress on top of him but I think that's just him!

I wouldn't recommend it for a very big kid. Maybe up to age 8 or 9 or so. But if you can get one for a good price, it might be fun for Christmastime for a small child.

My son did that once too! :rotfl:

I bought one for my son about a year ago. Every time he'd go to sleep he'd get too close to the edge of it and it would flip over on him. I tried it for a couple nights before I gave up on it. I returned it to Target. It's a good idea, but just didn't work out for us and I later read some reviews of others who had had the same problem.

My kids love theirs, and they have held up great even after several camp-outs. My older son, who is almost 9, is just about too tall to fit in his, but he is a relatively tall kid, so an average 9 year old would probably fit.

Why don't you just have them sleep in sleeping bags by the tree? That would be the easiest and it would feel like camping out.
