I do and for some reason, my family thinks it's really strange.:confused3 I mean I don't go around saying words out loud, but it's just become a habit of mine through the years. I am sort of compulsive about spelling so maybe that's why. Does anyone else do this? Tell me I'm not weird.:rolleyes1

I don't think I understand the question... you mean, like dyslexia? (I might have spelled that wrong... :headache: :rolleyes1 )

Nah. You're weird ;).

Just kidding :teeth:. You've developed a habit. I've had odd reading habits (obsessions/compulsions) before, too, maybe even with reading words backwards.

Sorry.:) No, like I read perfectly fine, but when I look at a word I see the printed word in my mind and have to read it (to myself) backwards as well. I guess it is a little odd, eh?:upsidedow

LOL! Thanks. (I think)

I do read words backward, but that's caused by a combination of a love of palindromes, being tricked by an article written by a "Loof Lirpa" (which if I'd read the name backward, would have clued me in), and the humorous if unfortunate placement of the English as a Second Language acronym on a school room door (ESOL placed in a circle...).

So yeah, I do it, too. :D

You should feel right at home when you see read the book, Angels & Demons. :teeth:

Oh great! Does this mean I'm possessed????:scared1:

I can write perfectly, from right to left in a mirror image. That's probably weird. I can't do it with my right hand however, only my left hand. The signature and the handwriting is exactly like my forward (normal) writing.

Wow--now that IS COOL!:thumbsup2 I'm assuming you're a lefty?

No. :) It's the book written by the same guy who wrote The Da Vinci Code. The movie of Angels & Demons came out a couple months ago, starring Tom Hanks.

It's has various palindomes in it like this one:

Wow, thanks God now I know I'm not the only one who does this. I remember as I child I use to speak backwards for fun around my cousins both in English and Spanish, after I stopped hanging out with them I stopped doing for the most part. Mainly I did it to be cool and to spook them around. Afterwards, later in life maybe I did randomly but not often nor routinely. For some reason a week or two ago I started talking backwards all over again, I will either say it out loud or just say it in my head. I do this like I said in both English and Spanish and today I even did it in French. Spanish seems more easy since it's a phonetic language but English is not that difficult. I noticed it's turned into some sort of compulsion or addiction, I have to do it. Why do you think this is? I will read Angels and Demons and see if I get any insight on this subject.

I do this but with numbers. Mainly I do it when I'm bored. Your not weird. Well everyone is weird. That's what makes us all fun and interesting.

Yep, I do it all the time. So does my son. I found this out recently when we came upon Strub Rd & my son said "Look Mom it's Dr. Burts!" lol

Harry Caray did this when he announced for the Cubs. My favorite--"Andre Dawson spelled backwards would be Noswad.":rotfl2:

Dh and I still joke when we see a player with a long last name about how it would be pronounced backwards.:)

I can do the SAME THING! I am a righty, but taught myself to write with my left when I was younger and had my right arm in a sling. I love to show people my "hidden talent". However, I can write forward with my left hand and at the same time I can write backwards with my right hand - which makes the words mirror imaged. I have to make sure the paper is taped down first....LOL. I normally write with my right hand, but when I mirror write I have to watch my left hand write and then my right hand follows backwards naturally. I think I read that it is only like 1 in 6,500 people that can do this and we aren't "right brained" or left brained", it just is that both sides work together (don't quote me on that, I read it a few years ago!).
How is that for weird! :teleport:
