We are planning our Southern California trip for February 18 - 26 2012. We hope to do DisneyLand/California Adventure, Seaword, Universal, San Diego Zoo...and hopefully rent a vehicle and do some touring around.
Any advice as to crowds at the parks during this week...or weekends in general. Any other suggestions and thoughts are greatly appreciated. We've been to the 'World' several times, but this is our first trip west.

You know the Monday is a US Holiday right? That will make it a busy Monday, and a busier weekend. Otherwise a great time to visit except for those days.

Your trip makes you an excellent candidate for buying a SoCal City Pass to get some savings.

I would do SD first, Universal Second and end at DLR. For DL you don't need a car, so if the cost of airport transport at the end of your trip is less than keeping the car, return it and go car free for those days. A car is a great help for the other parts of the trip.

We will be visiting for the first time also in Feb 2012. We will be there from Feb. 23 to March 3rd. First time in California for me also.

Great advice skiingfast...no, we didn't realize it was a US holiday:scared1:...oh well, with a daughter in university, it was the only time we could go as a family. I like the advice to start in San Diego. I'm thinking Seaworld shouldn't be as busy on the weekend as Disneyland. We might do a little more sightseeing on the first few days and avoid parks. University DD is taking film production, so I think we are planning a few days in Hollywood, then off to Disneyland.
Hey poohbear2, we might see you at the parks!
