Good morning all! I missed you crazy people over the last few days. Took me a while to catch up -- saw a lot of legs were posted, Syd and Sher apparently have some sort of late-night/early morning Ninja love/kill fest going on (I don't pretend to understand it), Grammy's mobile, Lou continues to come up with even more frightening clown pictures, Horsey's got a new siggie pic (very cute), and people are now blogging over at Zzub's new place ('cause apparently, the DIS didn't take up enough time).
I had a great trip (thanks for asking). Kids enjoyed their time with their grand'rents, I woke up every morning with a little white dog licking my nose (don't ask), and consumed much authentic Santa Fe cuisine (blue corn enchiladas with sour cream and a fried egg on top, smothered in red chile anyone?) and too much tequila. Also, in case anyone was wondering why they call New Mexico the Land of Enchantment, let me share a few pictures:
This was taken from the top of Sandia peak, the mountain which abuts Albuquerque, and is reached via the longest tramway in the world. The view is of Albuquerque.
Another shot (with my son in the foreground), and you can see the ridge line which leads to the crest, and about 2/3 the way to the right is where the tramway drops you off (quite a hike to the crest, let me tell you).
This is a picture taken in the other direction, with my father and my daughter in the foreground. I have no idea who the girl is to the right, nor what she is doing with her left hand (trying to achieve woohooty, perhaps?).
In any event, hope you enjoy the views. And it's good to be back.
