you're quite the sexy little ninja....

Hey Sid,

Cool Gorillaz avatars. (yes I know who they are) I like them too, much to the chagrin of my teen DD. she subjected me to them a couple years ago thinking it would be a great way to get under my skin. Imagine her surprise when she found out I like them (and Linkin Park and Korn and a few others too) no offense to those folks who attend church regularly. I also want to point out that on some of these groups it's not the words I enjoy but the driving base that gets me going.

I see the server is at it again!

Heh, heh.

Yeah I tried the link but unfortunately our servers here at work think they are for "Mature" audiences and won't let me look at them. I will try it at home along with the Ninja link too.

Surprisingly I find myself drawn to a lot of the "younger" music now than when I was her age (back then I was a little straighter than I am now) and thought they were not great. I go back now and find that I really like them and the base beat is so cool. It's funny we listen to Montel Jordan (This is how we do it) on my CD player in the car and I have the base turned up so high my rearview mirror vibrates. The kids in the cars next to us think it's cool and their parents roll their eyes.

cool thing about the Gorillaz that I saw not too long ago is the founder (creator) got a major award in the UK for design. Way Cool.

My daily drive by.............

It has been a crazy week. Dropped my oldest off at 5:30 this morning to go on a class trip to DC for the rest of the week. His little brother is so sad....he's going to miss him. They are best buds.

Anyway, Tinkles, hope you're feeling better. And Pongo, sent you a PM. (but I was having technical difficulties, so sorry if you got it twice...or didn't get it at all). ZZUB, visited your blog, but didn't have time to register & post. Will go back when I can find a minute or two. Hope you'll still be stopping by here, too! Amy, great news on the hubby. Sid and Sher, you guys are funny and wild (and pretty, too).

Finally, LOU..... :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: That's all I gotta say to you.

Hope to have some time tonight to check back in. Enjoy the afternoon, Peeps!

Amy!!! That is so great about your husband's knee. Tell him I watched my 12 year old master the skim and thought, as you said, that is a sport for the young and agile. No offense, Mr. Kitty, but your skimmin' days are over. I'm just saying...
Amy, call us when you host the Burn the Skim Board Party. we'll be over with weiners, fries, beans and beer.

Oh... Lil' Grumpy. My Mother didn't warn me about any types of guys. She used to warn the guys that darkened the door of West Point about Me(l), though.

And I, in turn, would warn them about HER.

She did, however, warn me not to smoke.

But... I like you just the way you are!

Stop scaring Sheri.

Later, Melstorm.

Drive by

But thought, hey all the cool kids post links...

so meet Hope...

Hope's link

I find this funny. Then again I have a teenager.

Is anyone else tired of crisis mode and injuries?

No sooner do I find out that hubby DOESN'T need surgery, than daycare calls because the boy has been kicked in the head (accidentally) and the director wants me to look at the injury. My office is only @ 5 minutes away, so off I race.

It was not pretty. Where the ear meets the scalp it was split. Bad enough that I immediately said I was taking him to the doctor. Director said that she had never seen an injury like that before. I told her that I had, plenty of crime scene photos from blunt force trauma to the ear. (Which makes me believe that he was hit full on with the bottom of the shoe, not with the toe.

Off I then run to the doctor, who, incidentally was leaving in 1/2 hour for his family vacation. I didn't ask if they were going to Disney. He glued Joshy's ear back on (okay, that's a teensy bit dramatic as his ear hadn't actually come off and wasn't even hanging at all) while two nurses and I held him down while he screamed at the top of his lungs. Poor little mite.

I tried to take a pic of the injury, but it really doesn't look that bad (until you pulled the ear away from the scalp and saw the gaping hole.)

I was supposed to have portraits of myself and the kids taken tomorrow a.m. I guess I should call and cancel that appointment. So much for the father's day gift!

Boy is sleeping peacefully now, after going and getting some chicken nuggets, chocolate milk, apples, and a Cars toy. (We have Lightening McQueen and Doc Hudson. I really want Mater.)

So, I'm home and sewing for Audrey. And checking in here a bit.
