Love that, Sher!

Oh, and PMM please forgive me (of course, I know I won't get flamed here), but I made a purchase today in honor of ZZUB:

It was.....Ben & Jerry's ........NEAPOLITAN DYNAMITE!! How's that for kizmit. I just HAD to buy it. It is Cherry Garcia side by side with Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Of course I would NEVER buy something like that (yes, it's full fat ice cream), even though they are two of my favorite flavors, except I just felt the ZZUBie inspiration. So, I made the sacrifice. I hope he appreciates it. I will allow myself a couple of tablespoons of it a day. Already had today's, and may I just say, YUM!!!!

Okay, that's all I got. See you all in some other place. Maybe.

My favorite reading is the Disney Park maps. You know cause they tell you about all the attractions and let you know all the fun things to do. Take for instance in Epcot's World Showcase there is a ride called Maelstrom and its even a FASTPASS!!! Who'd a thunk it???

here is something crazy that happened today

I went to Starbucks and ordered a light banana coconut frappacino. It was yummy. I forgot to ask about the cals as I usually do. So I looked it up on the website but then could not find my WW slide rule point thingy...so I went to the WW community boards to ask.

I got totally FLAMED for drinking my POINTS!!! (it was only 3 btw!!) hello??? i AM LIFETIME people, I think I know what to drink (cosmos anyone??) and what to eat!!!

flames all over the place...someone even said

"banana flavored coffee? NO I WILL NOT HELP YOU."

yikes. Scary isn't it???

Its supposed to be a support board.

All I could do was link my "before and after shots" to those rude people and tell them obviously I know what to choose for myself...and how to run on a mean treadmill thank you very much.

but they hurt my feelings...

you know that is the reason most diets fail, people like that think they can never have any kind of treat and never learn about moderation etc...

sorry I am venting today

school is almost out and I have seen no clowns on this thread as of yet. I kind liked the freekydee clowns but they are gone :guilty:

someone post me a clown please...thanks

Send them one of these PMM

Hay, hi, yo-ho-ho, etc!

I haven't read all the posts on this thread yet...and who knows when I will be able to. :confused3

Anyhoo...thought I'd chime in on the "favorite books" thing. My favorite author is Diana Gabaldon; she writes the Voyager series, which include all my favorite things: history, romance, time travel, and a sizzling epic storyline.

I'm also a big fan of the Little House On The Prairie books, Dr. Seuss, John Grisham and well-written-red-hot trashy romance novels with sass and spice.

 Dancin' Nanaman....OUT!

Hey PMM...that would be The Deadliest Catch aka The Crab Catch show. It's DS's favorite show right now. He gets so excited when it comes on.

As far as the support group goes, don't sweat the mean people. You got much love right here Woman.

(((((slap)))))

Lalalalalalala~ This is one of my DH's must see shows...along with some tribe show where everyone is running around a jungle naked? I don't get it.

Horsey, this IS our home. Thanks for starting this thread.

LYMI

See you all in the AM. I might try the riddle tomorrow.....

Ya'll are so much smarter than I. My latest read was Mel's TR.

Actually, I do love to read. But I don't find the time at this stage in the game.

Rhonda - Redeeming Love is one of my favorites, too. When someone asks me for a good beach read, I always recommend that one. Good call.

Have a great day, folks!

I'm with Nicolemarie. I can barely keep up with message boards and TR"S.
But I do have one tidbit i bet nobody can top (or surprise me if you can).
About 1968 or so I went to what was then eastern germany by train. I was like 16. Brought along some romance novels. Little skinny ones. So I get to the border, like a prison, BIG fences with stacheldraht (what the heck is that in english, you know he kind with the spikes all over). Big watch tower, flood lights, all that. Soldiers with machine guns came on the train and searched all the luggage. THEY TOOK MY ROMANCE NOVELS!
No western literature allowed!!

LALALALAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I watched. :teeth: Now we have to wait all summer. Blah.

Bye little night owl :teeth:

Bookworms........are a fastpass!?!

Goodnight all you little peeps. Please this is your home. Just keep going.

Okay, who watched Lost's season finale tonight? :wave2:

Paslea, Horsey, Chappie? I know yall are Lost fans.

I came home from work with Mickey Ds so there would be no dishes to do and told the kids and DH that barring somebody lacerating an artery, Mama was not to be disturbed between the hours of 8 and 10. They are a good little family and they did as they were told.

The show was really good. I won't divulge any details in case some of you TIVOd it, CHAPPIE, but it was good. Several questions were answered, a few of which are....

What happens when you DON'T push the blasted button...

Whether or not Michael actually got Walt back...

What's up with that freaky Henry Gale?

Where did Desmond wind up after he went running out of the hatch like a little girl?

And, true to the spirit of the show, there were some questions brought up that probably will never be answered in our lifetime such as....

What the HECK is the DEAL with that ISLAND?

Didn't 50 foot tall prehistoric birds already, like, die out?

Will Hurley EVER cut that hair? Dude, at least pull it back in a ponytail or something. You're killin me.

And why, oh why, would anybody carve a statue of a ginormous foot with four toes? On the beach. For all to see. With toenails bigger than my house.

Stay tuned for the answers people. We only have 4 months to ponder.

Now THAT is nice in Hi Def, Lou.

Hi all :wave2:
I was having computer trouble yesterday and missed out on a lot :confused3
stuff.

anyway, I have to agree with the poster about the Clan of the Cave Bear books by Jean Auel and The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley.
They are really excellent.
Also, just about everything by Stephen King.

And Ann Rule. She writes about true crimes.

And The Little House on the Praire books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, which I only read once I was an adult, because my older sister had a set of books which were old, and had been in a basement for a while and smelled moldy. It totally freaked me out to touch those books, and as a kid, I thought, it smells bad, so it must be bad. But, I finally did read them, and I am glad that I did.

But my favorite book of all time is The Little Prince by Antoine du Sant Exupery (I am sure I misspelled the name, please forgive me).

oh, and I can't forget Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. A classic. And Anthem, and We The Living

And don't forget Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. And did someone say Brave New World by Aldous Huxley?

This is coming out a little crazy, but I am writing them as they come to me.

oh, well, I am going to go, but not before I also add The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and I think I had better stop now, before I hurt myself.

Oh and Maelstrom is one of my absolute favorite rides in Disney World. It has everything you could possible want in an attraction, education, entertainment, history, adventure, mystery, anticipation, thrills, and three headed trolls and don't forget the excitement of that death defying drop!

As I'm avoiding working, I thought I'd drop by and contribute a pittance.

Noone's mentioned Nick Hornby...for shame! Excellent writer, excellent writings. Especially HIGH FIDELITY. Yum. And Donna Tartt's A SECRET HISTORY---run, don't walk. And David Sedaris....all of it. Treat yourself to the books on tape, his voice is hilaaaaaarious. BwaHA! inducing, indeed. Um, oh yea, EX-LIBRIS by Ann Fadiman, a fantastic little book of essays about reading. Inspiring. It will make you want to go into academia. Or at least inspire you to watch movies about going into academia (like THE PAPER CHASE). Last but not least, Sarah Vowell, the queen of NPR's "This American Life" and the voice of Violet in THE INCREDIBLES. Start with ASSASSINATION VACATION. She's a history buff and writes funnyfunny essays about, well, history. And stuff.

Movies? I know all about the movies. Ask me anything(ish). Lessee....if you haven't seen BULLITT (Steve McQueen(!!)) do it posthaste. And FOXES. Jodie Foster when she was but a wee thang. Uh, this isn't a movie, but if you haven't watched the BBC's THE OFFICE series, do it. Do it now. Or else. Aaaaand, REVERSAL OF FORTUNE. Rockin' flick about the Von Bulow case. Superdoublemaxiyum.

I've got a Clooney (George, not Rosemary) story that'll make you like him even more (I think), but it'll have to wait until manyana(ish). Now, I work. Or sleep. Bah.

reading.............................

You are all fastpasses. We can say that. It is who we are. :cool1: :teeth: :) :sunny: :yay:
