My latest read was LaLa's TR. I highly recommend it. It'll make you YELLOW, no doubt about it. Snotty, ugly cry , and all!!!

((((((((((slap))))))))))))))))

Paslea Pooh! I think I love you!

Thanks Woman. You just made my day yellow.

:moped:

But everybody knows the Mack Daddy of all trip reports is The Battle For My Wallet series, written by our good friend, ZZUB(ie). Now THAT's a good read. It's spit Yoo Hoo out your nose funny.

And Delswife's TRs. Those are great.

Somebody mentioned The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. One by one, I made all my pregnant friends read it. It was hilarious.

The woman even made stretch marks funny. Now that's talent.

That song makes me cry. But I tend to do that, alot.

The part about where they couldn't eat especially.

My heart goes on, makes you cry grammy? Grammy, Mel, how about the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald? And yes Sher, Perfect Storm, I love it too. Great read, and the movie, marky mark and goerge. Only problem is we lose them at the end. Hay a bit of trivia for you all, one of my college classmates became a skipper of one of the swordfishing fleet, a key player in the downing of the Andrea Gail, and has gone on to write her own best selling sea tales. I also love Annie Proulx, who is from my alma mater, she wrote the short story Brokeback Mountain.

Reading.......................

I was talking about this:
the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

You really don't listen when I talk do you. :lmao:

I even said the part where they can't cook, cause the seas are rough.

Lordy woman, and you want to read a book!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Hey, neat thread.
My husband has chatted(don't know if I should say that)and he says, they always say, "who is McDISer"
I am usually the one on the DIS, I am more of a reader (lurker) than anything. I found (Wobin's) Trip Report a few years ago and when I came back a few months ago for my husband to read I noticed I couldn't find it after a zillion pages. Then I saw someone posted a link. That is how we got over there. (he is so darn lazy, he uses my name and won't register his own).

Like I said, I am a ferocious reader-love this thead. My family always accuses me of finding just about anything to read.

My latest read was last nite-our daughter had a soccer game-the home team had a team roster booklet out and every girl wrote a summary about their school year, where they are going when the graduate-you get the picture-took 20 minutes off the clock before I looked up again to watch the game.

Is it okay, to join this bookclub? Otherwise I won't post again, just go back to lurking or I call it reading.
McDISer-(the female half)

Anyone is welcome to the bookclub. As long as they agree with the following statement. Thanks for dropping by. Lots of us are fans of Wobin.... :teeth:

MEAN PEOPLE suck!

and they try to help with the new catch phrase. Reading....................

Marky Mark, I didn't know you were in a movie with George. Can you get me an autographed photo, please?!? :rotfl2:

Horsey, he PREFERS to go by Mark Wahlberg now.....didn't you see the book cover in the yearbook??

Speaking of Mark Wahlberg, who watches Entourage? I LOVE that show!! (We are talking about things we've seen, too, right?)

....does a mind good, Horsey. Eh, I dunno, I think we need something else.....

I loved it but I know. It isn't working.

I am somewhat off today. Not much humor and I need toothpicks for my eyes. But I will try.

Thanks Ash.

...it does a mind good!!!!!!!!!!

Horsey,

You quoted my edit before I EDITED my edit! I changed it to "something more peppy". I know, I know, stop criticizing and start proposing alternatives!!! I'll keep thinking.

How about Mean People.........suck!

J/K

I am still thinking too, dear horsegirlfriend.

In the meantime, I thought of you when I made my lunch today. Have you tried horseradish ranch vegetable dip? I just assume everything in your home is horse-related.

Since this is your thread, I thought you might need to see how Disney embraces horses as we embrace you.

did you know Goofy has his own horseradish container? Here it is--

OMG - I love that song. So sad. It's even on my Ipod and I made the kids listen to it over 100 times in the car once. I grew up near the Great Lakes - Lake Huron - and we used to always go and watch the Freighters go by (No boys, not the submarines......actually watch the Freighters.)

I told my kiddies that knowing all about the Edmund F is part of their Canadian Heritage. Like snow. And Maple Syrup. And Ice Hockey. And Timmies. And CHEESE soup.

Here is my list of Canadiana titles for the reading list: All good reads

Jim Defede "The Day the World Came to Town 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland" (very uplifting story during a very tragic time)

Dick Pound - "Inside the Olympics" (he was a high ranking Canadian IOC official who got passed over for the top job after the skating scandal at Salt Lake)

Ron Burst - "Tales from Under the Rim - The Marketing of Tim Horton's" (Canadian coffee Icon)

Denise Chong - "The Girl in the Picture - The Kim Phuc Story" (she is the little girl in the famous picture during the Viet Nam war - now living in Toronto)

Anything from Margaret Atwood - very good reads!

For Canadian music.......anything but Celine.........she's our Barry!

Okay,
I just saw how the voting was going for this week's photo contest. And without informing anyone here, my baby is actually doing well.

If you feel like taking a gander (and picking your favorite to vote for, be it mine or someone elses) CLICK HERE. This is only the link to the first of four polls. The other three are on the photography board.

This was the most interesting thing I saw today. I was shocked.
