Fast Food Nation. You'll eat consciously after you read it.

I read that book and it was very interesting. But my favorite book right now, which is more of the genre I like, is Maximum Ride by James Patterson. :)

I am so happy!!!

Amy, thanks so much for the fun package I received in the mail today! Friends, even the mailer was addressed in lime green and sported a nice Mickey head. I love love my shirt :Pinkbounc !!

Our sweet Georgia Aristocat has mad skillz as witnessed in Wesley's wonderful costume(s). The CookMaster is happy you liked her cookies, Amy, but wants me to remind you they are MUCH better straight out of the oven. She sad for you to get your tail up here :moped: so she can whip you up a fresh batch.

BTW, when I drove over to her house to pick them up (she summoned me as she pulled them out of the oven) with the addressed box in hand, I was prepared to go straight to the post office.

That didn't happen. My car D-I-E-D in her driveway. I called AAA for a tow. The CookMaster jumped in her car, told me to GET IN with the cookie box, and drove me to the post office. She stood there and watched me mail them Priority Mail and asked the clerk to stamp them Fragile.

Now you know why I was mad they didn't get there Wednesday!!

Can't wait to hug you in thanks.

Well Haley is in full packing mode here today.

Had five ten errands to run today. All but 2 completed. They could not find Max' refill for his Epipins on file :furious: , sooo Monday I will have to call his allergist and have them fax it... to another pharmacy. Carp. Also I forgot to buy the b-a-n-a-n-a-s at the grocery store. I think we can live without them.

Three more sleeps before we are on the way.

ME- 2.5 hours from airport to check in? Carp, I might have sprung for a town car if I knew that. I guess I have heard people say it took forever minus two days.

Ok, I'm out again. No time to play today I fear. Tomorrow should be better(ish).

OK, now Grammy, this is just FUNNY.

Cause I am training for nothing but FREE DINING
Work it, woman!!

I am so excited for all of you who are going to the meet! The giddiness is rampant and it's fun to watch even if I can't join ya'll.

PLEASE take lots of pics and write lots of TR upon your returns. Some live feeds would be good too.

This place is growing!! Hi to all the folks I haven't met.

Have a good one -

NM :sunny:

YAK -

Just getting in practice :teeth:

and to tell you so far I have bought exactly nada, zip, zero new for this trip. Have tried numerous times to buy new sandals, but haven't found any yet.

And my make up case consists of sunblock(45) and chapstick and my hair is almost 1/2 inch long :lmao: cause I got carried away.

And if you are thinking what I do is exercise :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: that is just freaking (NOF) hysterical.

As stated before - I am in training for Free Dining. Practiced today in fact. Fried anything on a stick, yeah

Plus, you do REALIZE the picture in my siggie and in Sheridac's is me, right???? Yeah, me and Ginger are twins seperated at birth like Danny Devito and Arnold :teeth:

Just so YAK isn't TOO worried, It took that long from the time we got off the plane until when we walked into our hotel room. Bear in mind that my friend and I probably walked slower than YAK will and we were third in line for check-in. It can vary depending on many things.

I didn't think that was too bad because I really appreciated not having to haul luggage and it was free!!

Geesh, looks like everyone is busy today. Only 2 pages since I last checked in. Does anyone else think it's funny that we post so much more during the week? For those of us that work outside the home....what does that say about how hard we work at our PAID jobs??? Those of you at home....I guess it makes more sense, as the weekends are probably more busy than weekdays while the kidlets are in school.

YAK, I am not primping any more than normal, truly. Got my regular haircut two weeks ago. I'm WAY overdue for a pedicure, which I am pretty religious about. Only thing I'm doing that I don't normally do is a manicure. But I'm getting clear polish. And one of my nails broke earlier this week. So I'm FAR from glamorous. Still need to buy shoes for CG. It's tough trying to balance pretty/semi-dressy with comfortable. Not having lotsa luck.

Horsey, did I say I was doing laundry? If so, I lied. Jay does all the laundry around here. I do, however, do the ironing, when needed (which isn't super often).

Kimmie, your mind works just like mine! So excited, so excited. Hope everyone in your house is healthy. Now.

Got to go feed the boys before Jay & I head out to dinner. Just us. Very unusual for a Sat. night (we're usually with a crew of friends), but it'll give us some practice for next weekend :teeth:

Both times we have taken the ME it has taken about 1 1/2 hrs from plane to hotel.

Thanks everyone for the replies on ME bus!

Problem solved ;)

And just turning the page.......

Which again, calls for a song........

On a long and lonesome highway, east of omaha.
You can listen to the engine moaning out its one lone song
You can think about woman, or the girl you knew the night before,
But your thoughts will soon be wandering, the way they always do.
When your riding sixteen hours and theres nothing much to do
And you dont feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through.
Say, here I am, on the road again. there I am, up on the stage.
Here I go, playing star again.
There I go, turn the page.

GRAM

Can I call you Gram???

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I was in training last night too. We went to the best Italian restaurant. Ordered too many appetizers and they came late, so the Chef "comped" them. Ate my entre, then he "comped" desert too! All with 1/2 bottle of wine each.

I should be ready for FREE food!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

:yay:

Quick story - John and I went to the boardwalk today for a classic car show and to eat junk food. So we walk the entire boards, looking at cars and deciding what to eat :teeth: Everything you can imagine and 2 more things.

John decided on one of his all time favorites - A sourdough soft pretzel with extra salt and butter (as if he had 1 artery not blocked) and a Stewarts Root Beer. So we head over to the Stewarts Root Beer shop and he orders. The kid says "Sorry Sir, we are out of Root Beer" We both step back and look up,
yep, we are at Stewarts. So he says to the kid, "Are you sure you are out of root beer." Yes Sir, no root beer. We just look at each other and say "Bubba Gumps, no soup for you" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks Sheridac :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: No shrimp, no lasagna, and no root beer. Let's all go to DQ and see if they have any ice cream :rolleyes1

Hey all, been a busy few days. Good friends of ours just had a baby and I had to make 72 HEREHEIS bars for them. Spent a few hours at the hospital visiting them last night. The bouncing baby boy has a FULL head of hair and the longest toes I've ever seen on a baby. Monkey like. Very Disturbing. But he is a little cutie...no deformed head or anything...although with all the hair he just might.

I've read all 10 pages since I was last here and I've promptly forgotten all of them except for what I can read below the reply box. It's hell getting old! DH worked my tush off in the gym on Thursday and last night my right leg just seized up and I could barely walk today...lots o' Advil!

Grammy~ No root beer huh? Reminds me of the time DH went to the bank to get change for a garage sale we were having...they were out of quarters! Uh, you ARE a BANK!!!

Sher~ How's the de-gelling/re-gelling going? I am sooooo jealous of ALL of you...I wanna go too!!!!!

Since I'm not sure when anyone is leaving for their trips I will just say my best wishes now...

Safe travels Vikings! Eat, drink, and be well my friends! :wizard:

Just checking in. I admit it. I skimmed.
Went to WalMart and Sam's today. I bought glow in the dark panties. And Bejeweled panties. TFI. TMI? Too bad.

I also bought a new nightgown. Y'all are making me wolley with the plans. Wishing I could come with.

TTYL!
