Who's planning to see WORLD TRADE CENTER when it comes out???

Don't think we will. We lived roughly about 5 minutes from the the GW Bridge. When the towers were struck we tried to get our girls out of school. It was mayhem. To say the very least. It still lives with me. The chaos. I couldn't get my kids out of school without officially signing them out. It was scary. Beyond words. I still cannot till this day watch footage of it. My BIL almost died in that tragedy. It's unspeakable. Not sure if the rest of the country felt it like we did. On the East Coast. We felt out of control. We were scared. At the time we didnt' know what was being hit next.

Yes for those new strommers on our list, I emailed out a Maelstrom T-shirt design (front and back) that you print on iron-on tshirt transfer paper that you can buy at WalMart and places such as that.

You have to have a color inkjet printer to be able to do it.

I made 2 versions of it (because of our Dear Happyhaunty - lol). One version is for white/light colored T-shirts, the other is for black/dark colored t-shirts.

At any rate, if you want the design, I can email it to you if you PM your email address to me.

They look something like this when you finally get them on your shirt (for those of you that are not iron-challenged..heh heh ;-)... love ya Sher)

Drive by posting.

First of all, I want to thank all of you for my wonderful birthday wishes. Really! I just got on this morning and read every single one. You are truly a sweet and dear group of people. I was spoiled for my birthday, maybe moreso than any year in my life! I am a lucky woman.....

Update on my pets, who as some of you know, are akin to my kids....

After a week of intensive nursing, last friday we had to put down one of our beloved cats. He was named Moo, and slept on my pillow every single night of his life, except for the last week. My children took it very hard, as did my husband. We have so many animals, but each one is special and unique, so the loss was not any less painless for any of us....

As we were preparing that evening to take off without any kids for the weekend, one of my older dogs was jarred by another of the dogs jumping on her. She pulled back suddenly and began yelping. We returned home from the emergency animal clinic at two in the morning carrying a paralyzed cocker spaniel. Dh and I spent the weekend attending to her, carrying her outside and trying to get her to eat. We were devestated and planned on euthanizing on Monday. Long story short, she is miraculously showing signs of improvement and took some steps yesterday. Thus we are waiting another week to see if more movement returns. She does require a great deal of care, which I am more than willing to provide as she has given us 12 years of unconditional love and devotion. So I will remain on the couch, semi sleeping for this next week.....

You are all in my thoughts and again, thanks so very much for all your sweet and wonderful posts to me. For those of you who emailed, pmed, or called, I will reply at one point. Please know I appreciate your efforts.

Horsey - :grouphug: We are all here for you honey. And thinking about you and your family. And praying for all of you (dogs included).

Everyone else - that's your shout. I'm working today. And then meeting some of my most favorite people for lunch. You know who you are.

I actually know JUST the place.

But.

I can't post it.

'Cause GOD FORBID I post ANYTHING about my not-so-very-hard-at-all-to-identify city.

Mama doesn't like it when the J-man yells.

Actually.

Mama does like it.

Cause she knows that he knows that she knows that he knows that she knows he loves her.

Even if he is bald. :smokin:

Horsey - I am so very sorry to hear about your cat. I knew you had issues with your pets, but was not certain of the extent.

As you are, no doubt, aware, I am not, by any means, a cat fan. That has absolutely no bearing on this post though. Pets are pets, regardless of their species, and they can, if we allow them to, become children to us. I know how hard I would take it if we were to lose Zedd. I know how hard I took it when we gave Remington (english bulldog) away. He was fine, but I was not.

So you have my deepest condolences for the loss of Moo.

It was wonderful to hear that your dog is showing signs of improvement. I pray that the trend continues and she makes a full recovery. Until she does, I am sure you are doing your best to make her comfortable and happy.

Keep us posted.
