Morning All!!!!!! Insert name here__________________!!!!

It seems that during mid sentence last night, I lost power and internet. Did not mean to offend.

Amy - You know, that we think the kids are beautiful. Maelstomers are a good looking bunch.

Hi Steph - just cause I can!!!

OK - this is just funny 1st thing in the AM. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Trying a new roast this morning - A gift from a Brazalian friend. Rich and Dark. It is to die for. Probably a little strong for some of you, but I believe this could be my all time favorite ever. No dollops of anything. Just in a pure unalultered state. Using my red, white and blue USA mug.

I am baking a coconut cream pie this morning. Do I need to make an extra for the bake sale??????

For you spice people. Last night I was at my mom's and she has a collection of old spice containers. Her neighbor had found one cleaning out her Aunt's house. My Mom was real happy with it. It was Mace. I did the silent shake but decided not to share why with said Mother. She already thinks I am nuts.

Ok - have a great day everybody :dance3: :dance3:
I love coconut cream pie, though I do insist on real meringue topping not the whipped cream crap they put on those frozen mistakes at the grocer's. As for coffee, unadulterated is fine and dandy, but I was raised in a house where canned milk was the cream of choice. I've at least graduated to real cream or 1/2 n 1/2. I should get some credit for that. . .;)

Oh, and not only was POTC 2 largely boring, but we did wait around until the final scene. What a long wait for such a mediocre payoff. It's gotta be union rules, but did we really need to know that the assistant to the driver to the assistant of Mr Depp's name? And here's a good place for a quick little laugh. Doc and I were complaining about the credits being too long when she quipped, Why is there a lead painter? I thought lead paint was outlawed. To which I slyly replied, "Dear, in this case the word is pronounced 'leed.'" Silence. . . . . Ohhhhhhhhhh! But, she did like the movie more than I did.

Morning Grammy! Morning Strommers!

I am off to work... ouch, my back still feels like I was clubbed across the shoulder blades.

see ya all tonight, unless I come home and straight to bed.

PLEASE - Only real merinque, what type of woman do you think I am :confused3

Are you my brother?????? What is it with the canned milk???????? My Mom still uses it. Canned milk may be the cure for Cancer and the common cold, according to her. :rotfl:

And the "leed" painter. Is she related to my husband? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I must refill my mug and get busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And.

First. You thought it was boring because you are a man. Well, really a (wo)man, so because of the (wo) then. No. Wait. Because of the man. Not the (wo). Because the (wo) would NOT think it boring.

And second. You are sooooo mean!!!!! But funny. You do get points for that!

Not only canned milk, but then my grandfather used to pour a little bit into his saucer to let it cool off, then slurp it out of the saucer! I thought that was how you drank coffee until I was teenager. In parts of southern France, they combine the milk and sugar step to coffee by using sweetened condensed milk. SCM: great for key lime pie. Coffee? Not so much.

Certainly, I didn't mean to offend your sensibilities re: meringue. (Note to sher: that's the topping on some pies, not the dance step). But, there are pretenders out there. I should've known you wouldn't be one of them. . .

Doc is actually a lot sharper than me in most ways. . .yeah, I know, that's not saying much. . .so I simply couldn't pass up that opportunity.

*SPOILER ALERT* Nooooo, I thought it was boring because just how many times do we need to some giant computer-generated tentacle grabbing a pirate, or people inside/on top of a spinning orb and wheel, or lame references to rum, or lots and lots of shots of ships being crushed? And, whereas the females in the audience had Depp, Bloom, and even the guy who plays the commodore (ex-commodore, actually) for eye candy, I get Keira (My Family is Anorexic but I'm Not) Knightly and some Jamaican-sounding woman who obviously ate some Rit blue dye right before filming her scenes. Just sayin'. I am (wo) man, hear me. . .bark. . .;)

Well thanks for ruining it for me. Geez.

Just kidding, I already saw it. The eye candy was more than enough to make it a thorougly fun experience. That, and my favorite line ...

"I want my jar of dirt."

Quit picking on the Pirates, SleepyD. Savvy?

Alright, I'll stop nitpicking Pirates. Me savvy. . .but. . .it's. . so. . .hard. . .to. . .stop. . . Since I have chores to do, errands to run, food to cook, and acres to mow, I best get moving. . .

I am disinclined to acquiesce to your request. Means "no!"

Sure is quiet here this morning. Could have something to do with Chris' coffee place being closed.

Minnie - sorry didn't mean to put you on ignore. Still catching up!

Yes, Plutopants made it to me. Thanks so much.

I'm going to figure out how to post pic's (thanks Tink) and do a mini-pictorial-TR here on him.

Did he like the Beach Club?

It was a step down for him to stay at the Pop, however he has a good time wherever he goes!

Ummm I'm not sure if it was a step up or step down to land at the Pop :confused3 We stayed there in May and if they'd just add a hot tub I'd been all set. Hope you enjoyed it!

Oh and nothing special on the bottom of him. I just caught him sneaking out the balcony :lmao:

Here's the ornery little guy sneaking back in after a night in Norway

Well I will join the cheese that stands alone and say I too found this film disappointing. Not the eye candy. That was fine and my Johnny was excellent, but the special effects ruined it for me. No restraint at all. Plus questionable actions on the part of a Jack and Elizabeth which I found out of charecter.

I hold fictional charecters to a very high standard.

OMG! You have GOT to stop making me laugh so hard while I am at work! We waited for the scene, too. Dick said he's never seen credits so long before in his life. All for what? A mere cracker, I say. So sad.

Exactly! Well put, Haley: there was no restraint used in the making of this film. That insistence upon excessive (choose any or all of the following) explosions, crashes, fights, and special effects buries the plot. It's always about the story and characters, yet film makers forget this simple fact. . .as they did this time.

I wanted greatly to be entertained, but it just wasn't meant to be. I've seen far worse movies (STAR WARS prequel, George Clooney's Batman & Robin, anything with Adam Sandler), but I'm having a hard time understanding why this film is rolling in the dough. STILL, I'm hoping that the producers and director follow with a better installment for part 3. The last five minutes POTC 2 (which was actually one of the better scenes), did give me cause for hope. Savvy?

Drebert accuses me of not even celebrating HER b-day.

Which by her standards I don"t.

The very same reason McD"s is having to install dual drive-thru lanes. The same reason that Coke\Pepsi are still sold in elementary schools across the WORLD. The same reason Grammy"s brownies are much drooled over. We are an indulgent people who consume things that have no redeeming quality whatsoever.

Now pass me a Diet Dr. Pepper and a moon pie. :smokin:
