2, We still have one more day. BUT, my 8th grader "graduated" on Friday, so he's done. And my 6th grader's camp starts today, so I'm sending him there instead of school. He'll just go to school for the 1/2 day tomorrow. So.....technically, we're kinda done too! YEAH!!!! NO HOMEWORK for TWO months!!!! I love the summer. Though I'd love it better if it would stop freakin' raining!!!!

Kpk89 - I always get blisters the first time that I wear them for a LONG time. Until they get "broke in". After that never. Get some anti chafing cream and put it on the tops of your feet and your heels and you won't get blisters at all. Ever. Wash them in the washing machine, on cold with a little bleach. Shine them up with Armor All.

And now....a question. Which I WILL NOT ask on the CB, because I'm sure I knew the answer there. If you rent and sign a 1 year lease, and your house is built in less than a year, can you break lease, what happens? We really need to get out of here. It's hurting our relationship, and we are snaping at eachother and the poor kiddos all the time. But I don't think it's going to take a whole year from NOW to get our house, or maybe it will. But if it doesn't what happens?

I'm going back to the DR with Seth again today. One week on anitbiotics and his ear is still hurting him.

On the plus side. Only 4 days till we go to the beach!

Today is Chad's birthday. He's 28. I am going to tell him that when he turns 30, I'm trading him in for a younger model. hehe. What was I thinking marrying an older man?

I cannot stand the smell, taste or even site of applesauce. When I was little, I got bad migraines all the time(still do) and I had a phobia of swallowing pills, so we crused Tylenol up and I ate it in a spoonful of applesauce. To this day, applesauce still tatses like Tylenol.

Amanda -- It would all depend on what the lease says. The lease is a contract, and breaching a contract carries consequences. Sometimes, the lease will spell out the damages for which you would be responsible if you breach, but not always. If it doesn't, reference would need to be made to your state's landlord/tenant law. First step would be to talk to your landlord and see if you can't work out a deal. Failing that, you would be well-advised to consult an attorney who specializes in landlord/tenant law. You local and/or state bar association probably maintains a referral list, and you can contact them for some names. BTW -- happy birthday Chad.

Amanda - what Chappie said. Why not try to negotiate a 9 month lease at the outset with month-to-month to follow that? You're asking this in advance, right? I thought you were still living with the friend, and you just want out of that place into your own place? Try to negotiate a shorter contract at the outset!

Grammy - what's the answer again?

Chappie - welcome back (sort of). Personally, I am THRILLED with the rain, wish it would keep raining for several days. It's sooooooo dry here.

Yeah, I've been there once, for a conference. Very pretty place, and very relaxing. Never made it out to the golf course, but I heard it was nice. Did you get a lot of rain up there too? Or did it miss you?
