I need help.

I can't find Mark's blog.

I burned an entire hour here, again. Now I really must clean my kitchen. It is a mess, the kids spilled some pop.

Okay, for you and Jami and Rhonda and Amy, I googled "Redneck Riviera"

For the record, I was only taking issue with the characterization of Macon being the redneckiest town. I was not actually taking a position on the redneck riviera, although in retrospect I see how that could easily have been misinterpreted.

Remember, I am not a native Georgian, as much as I hate to admit that. And in my somewhat limited time here (only 14 years), I mostly heard "redneck riviera" in reference to Panama City.

But I'm glad we're all right, and that we're alright.

Yes, thank you. I have successfully secured two of each of the following (so the kids don't fight over them, doncha know): Mater, Sally, Doc, Ramone and one each of Lightning McQueen and Flo. Now I am searching for some of the die-cast cars, which are impossible to find. Maybe I should check online. Hmmmm.

(BTW, just checked ebay - Mater by himself (in packaging) is running about $1.75 plus shipping. Probably not enough to cover the hassle and auction expenses.)

Pongo, the really sad thing is that if you posted those pictures of when you were "a little girl" on the beach, you would probably find either me, NM, Marky Mark, Frickles or Kim in the background. On the beach. Acting like unruly teenagers after graduation. And then later Marky Mark would be the guy hanging his head out of the car window and yelling "Wheeeewwwwww Heeeewwww" as the girls all walked by. On his way to start a riot at La Vela.

And I was the DINK finally able to afford the A-condo!

Hey guys. Just popping in before I go home. What a day. I'm exhausted. Good thing we are having leftovers tonight. I did 19 admissions from start to finish and boy does it feel like it. Someone wake me up when July 4th is over. I'm going to crawl under my bed and hide.

Or, I could have a beverage instead. Crap. I forgot I have to iron. because I apparently KNOW HOW. AND MIL s coming in town Friday. Oh, rapture.

Haley my cyber friend, it's coke, the kids spilled a coke. Doesn't matter what kind/flavor/brand, you're in Texas now and it's called coke.

I do however have a little pop story.

My DH did all of his growng up in Texas (except for 2 years in Birmingham). We went to Chicago a few years after we were married and went to a little diner/deli by our hotel for lunch one the first day. DH tells the guy behind the counter what he would like to eat and then the guy asks him if he wants a pop to go with that. Well, DH looks at the guy like he has six heads and I quickly explain to him that he would like to know if DH would like something to drink. So DH, says (and I believe this is an exact quote), "Yeah, I'll take a coke, do you have any Dr. Pepper?" Guess who was looking at who with he 'six-head' stare ?
After a quick conversation about a lack of D.P. a Pepsi was ordered and consumed.
You can take the boy outta Texas but you cain't take the Texas outta the boy.

How right you are. That rule applies in Mississippi too. It's funny that you mention that because just the other day DS said "I want some pop". I stopped dead in my tracks and whipped my head around.

Me: What did you say?
Him: I...uhm, want some pop. Some soda pop.
Me: Where did you hear that word?
Him: I don't know.
Me: Well it's Coke. You want a Coke.
Him: Uhm...okay. I want a Coke. Can I have a Coke?
Me: Yes you may. And that's better.
