I'm really wanting to book OKW 2bedroom and a studio next January. Everything I'm reading says the owner has to make the ressie for ME and dining plan- the owner I've talked with assures me that I make those myself.
Help?

You can make your own dining reservations but the owner will have to call to reserve the dining plan and payment will be required at the time it is set up. There are ways around the ME but usually the owner would do that also.

Sounds like the owner doesn't know the DVC policies. I would look for a different owner.

Maybe the owner thought you meant the ADRs themselves? You can make ADRs yourself and you can make your own Magical Express reservation too via this link. But the owner has to request the DDP be added to your reservation at least 30 days before check in. Payment for the DDP is due when it is added to your reservation.

Apparently the above DME link will let DVC guests book their DME reservation but officially DVC DME reservations are to be placed through DVC MS and not on the Disney website or by calling DME directly, (this info from DME). When you call DME the 4th prompt instructs DVC reservations to arrange for DME by contacting DVC MS.

My guess is that DME is funded by Disney resorts and DVC DME reservations are funded from dues.
