1. If we stay in site, do we still need advance ressie for dinner in sit down at the parks or can we do it once we check in with concierge? We do not plan on character dining at all but we might want to eat at Mythos or Finnegans one night

2. Are there specialty snacks or treats (besides Butterbeer) that are "not to be missed?"

3. One teen is gluten sensitive but not Celiacs. She won't eat salad! Any suggestions for her? Pizza or burgers with GF buns? Chicken and ribs places? Desserts besides ice cream or a bakery that does GF?

Oh, going over MLK weekend in January if that helps with question 1

1) you don't need any ressies, Universal is not as structured like Disney. If you want to make a ressie you can though.Keep in mind Mythos often closes WELL BEFORE the park does. When we were there over MLK week in the past, Mythos had its last seatings around 330-4pm. Lunch/Dinner are the same menu though
2) We like the big pink donut in Simpsons area
3)Not sure to be honest

Jurassic Park Thunder Falls in IoA and Monsters Cafe in US both have a rottisserie chicken platter that comes with roasted potatoes and corn on the cob or fries.

HP Three Broomsticks (IoA) has a roast chicken platter, rib platter and a combo platter (little of both) they come with roasted potatoes and I believe corn on the cob as well.

I have heard of one place having a GF burger bun, but I can't remember where. It might have been at the pool of RP.

I am sure there are other options as well as GF has become more pronounced in both restrictive and chosen diets...these were just off the top of my head.

Great info, thanks. I will search the threads for GF and if nothing much comes up I will start one!

If you want to eat at Mythos, I would make a reservation, but you don't have to make it far in advance. You can make it that morning. The last time I ate there, while I waited for my table, I saw at least a dozen parties come in hoping to eat. They were given reservations for several hours later if they wanted.
