Read something on another thread about a scooby and shaggy character dinner

at one of the Universal Hotels. . does anyone have more information about this??

I do not have the current schedule though I have read it enough times that I should remember, but there are character dinners at the hotels on select nights. I think that the RPR is Mondays and another day, one day at the HRH, and one day at the Poly. The characters as I have read are usually Scooby and Shaggy, Woody Woodpecker, and another, but are not guaranteed. Sorry this doesn't help much, but its a little info.

Is this something where you can call and make a ressie for this? I had no idea they had character dinners at Universal and both my kids love Scooby!!

They usually show up at all 3 resorts. I would definitely make a ressie. Call the resorts for information on the schedule.

I had no idea until I read it on this board a couple months ago. I was complaining that the character breakfast was only on weekends and we couldn't do a character meal, and someone said why not just do a character dinner. I had no idea until then they even had character dinners, and they are not mentioned on the hotel restaurant websites. I tried to make a ressi for our August trip and was told that they take them 30 days in advance.

The character dinner at RPR was a monday night the kids buffet was $3.95 although u can eat off the menu its held in the Islands restaurant.At the PBH it was a friday night and the buffet for kids was $12.50 although again u can eat of the menu they have a kids meal $8 which includes milkshake/juice this was at trattoria del porto the food was far superior at the trattoria for adults buffet prices at both restaurants was $24.95 as for character interaction its ok but not same as at Disney breakfast we only ever saw Scooby & Woody and Curious George they don't stsy in restaurant but visit it that night a few times my kids liked it woody was the best for interaction made us all laugh sorry we never ate at HRH so no info on theres I would suggest if u are doing 1 the PBH is the best heres the no for making a reservation
