After some research and speaking with this particular tea room, it looks like those that are missing afternoon tea now have an alternative!
The Tea Room Experience is a local tea room closer to downtown Orlando that offers afternoon tea to go! And before I go any further, I know what some of you are thinking...I don't have a rental car and I'm staying on property or possibly at another hotel closer to Disney. No need to worry! I spoke with a manager and they will deliver your afternoon tea to your hotel!
How awesome is that!? However, I was quoted a delivery fee of $35 to the GF where we will be staying. I'm not sure if the price could vary depending on your hotel.

Unfortunately, they can only made dietary changes to make the selections vegetarian. They cannot make your afternoon tea vegan or gluten free
I do realize that this isn't a perfect replacement for the afternoon tea that we have all come to love at the GF, and a $35 delivery fee is pretty hefty, but I do think it is a solid option for those of us who were really hoping to have afternoon tea return by our upcoming vacations. Perhaps afternoon tea by the pool wouldn't be so bad

- They are open and able to deliver your afternoon tea Thursday-Sunday from 10am-5pm. They are closed Monday-Wednesday.
- 48 hours notice is needed to place an order. If you want your order delivered, you will need to call to place your order, as the only option online is for in-store pick up.
- Their adult afternoon tea box includes a set menu that changes seasonally and includes the following for $35:
- 3 finger sandwiches (2 veggie and 1 protein)
- 1 scone
- 1 Devonshire cream
- 1 preserve
- 5 petite desserts
- 3 savory bites
- and your choice of loose leaf tea with a tea filter bag.
- After starting to write this post, I did see on their website that they offer a smaller child portion box of afternoon tea that includes a selection of the following for $15:
- 2 finger sandwiches
- 2 savory bites
- 4 petite desserts
- and your choice of loose leaf tea with a tea filer bag
- There is also an option to have a larger catering order of the individual components (sandwiches, savory bites, petite desserts, and scones)

I miss GF Afternoon Tea so much, I always had it on arrival day as a 'Welcome Home'.
