I just finished I think my all time favorite book and wanted to share it with all of you. It's called Suzanne's Diary to Nicholas by James Patterson. This is the first book that has made me cry. It's is the best love story. I highly recommend you read it. I can't put into words how much this book moved me. Has anyone else read this book? Has anyone else read any other book by Patterson? If so how was it.

I have read all of James Patterson's book. "suzane's Diary" is wonderful, but it is very atypical for him. He usually writes detective mystery/thriller books. You can not go wrong with any of his books. He is an excellent writer.

I just finished "Blowfly" by Patricia Cornwell (another mystery writer) it was very good, but I wasn't crazy about the ending.

Over the summer, I read all of Adriana Trigiani's books: "Big Stone Gap", "Big Cherry Holler" and "Milk Glass Moon" (trilogy), and "Lucia! Lucia!" I really love her writing--she's to the point, not overly "wordy", and her characters remind me a lot of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" characters--very quirky and loveable. I've really become a big fan of hers. I just finished "In the Cut" by Susanna Moore--Meg Ryan is in the new movie version to be out soon. She really has her own nifty style (although this book is VERY sexually explicit), and it's a real quick read. I was disappointed in the ending, however--kinda saw it coming. I've just started Gregory Maguire's "Wicked", which is all about a young girl, Elphaba, who grows up to be The Wicked Witch of the West from "The Wizard of Oz"! I haven't read much yet, but I love the premise. My favorite book of all time is "Rebecca" by Daphne du Maurier--great Hitchcock movie version, too!

James Patterson's other books are nothing like that one. They are R-rated mysteries, real page turners.

There's a snake scene in "Kiss the Girls" thatmay be the most disturbing thing I've ever read. It absolutely gave me the creeps.

I loved Suzanne's Diary to Nicholas too. I read it a while back, it was so moving and it made me cry too.

Tar...I'm guessing its the part with the snake?

i just finished reading Great Expectations(charles dickens). Its a really good book if you know whats going on...

Just finished reading Texian Iliad: A Military History of the Texas Revolution (not as boring as it might sound). I'm about to start Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper Case Closed by Patricia Cornwell

after tartuffe i want to start reading don quixote

I just finished it. It's not your typical mystery. Has lots of good character development. I think the movie just opened...

I know EXACTLY which part you are talking about. It makes you wonder how people think this stuff up, doesn't it??? Otherwise I find Patterson's books pretty good. A quick read generally.

I just started reading "The Tenth Justice" about a young man clerking for the Supreme Court. It's starting out well - I love politics, mysteries, medical stuff (forensics).

I read Suzanne's Diary this past summer, it was a quick read but very good.
