I am on Weight Watchers and addicted to Starbuck's non-fat iced Mocha's! Can anyone tell me if they have had one from Blue Ribbon or the one in DCA and if so are they good?

Thanks!

I don't remember if they had nonfat. And I don't get the mocha. But I do love their iced lattes! You can find them at Blue Ribbon, Baker's Field Bakery, even the permanent cart to the left of the castle, and other places I'm sure.

But they aren't starbucks...

My upcoming trip is a theme trip. Overall it's my son's birthday trip. But on the side it's a "find out what sort of coffee they serve all over the parks" and also a "figure out current photopass info" trip. :goodvibes So I'll be nicely caffeinated, and hopefully will know exactly what kinds of coffee is served at various places! (though who knows what's accurate, b/c the CMs give different answers to people...I think I've heard of employees of Compass Books giving at least 4 different coffee brand names to people...)

Thanks for your quick response! I know it won't be the same as my Starbuck's but I was hoping it was decent! There is a place by my house, a local chain, and their NF iced mocha is nasty! LOL!!!

I think I remember seeing somewhere in DTD that says they brewed Starbucks...now..if I could only remember who..I think it was a cart around la Brea..

the Compass bookstore makes one of the best coffees i have ever had. THe carts are good too both at DCA and DL.

If you're really desperate for Starbucks, there is one up at the intersection of Harbor and Ball-- NE corner of DL, a bit of a hike past HoJo's, etc. There's also ones in the Anaheim Marriott and the Hilton Anaheim lobbies-- both south of DL by the convention center.

I know what you mean... from a Seattleite hooked on her decaf grande nonfat no-whip mochas.

Does anyone know why there isn't a Starbucks in DTD? They have a Jamba Juice, so why not Starbucks? :confused3

Anyway, I am addicted to their Iced Green Teas w/ no sweetener. Starbucks is our first stop when leaving DLR! I have yet to find any other place that makes such wonderful iced green teas. :)

tlovesdis - I am from Brentwood - so we are neighbors! Don't you just love all our drive-thru Starbucks around here??? :cool1:

As far as I know, there is no Starbuck's because of an exclusive agreement with La Brea Bakery and Compass Books. I remember hearing that it is in both of their leases that there is to be no other coffee places in DTD!

Stinks for us!

Oh yes, I love all the drive-thrus! I am very familiar with them all!! LOL!

Oh, that does stink! I am not a fan of La Brea Bakery. The last two times we picked up pastries there they were stale and hard (or maybe they are suppose to be that way??) I guess I am just used to Panera.

I thank God for all my drive-thru Starbucks! I spend a good portion of my day running kids around and they make it a little easier! :)

Starbucks at Harbor and Ball. They share a parking lot with the gas station on the corner. Pretty close to the park, just over the freeway. :thumbsup2

As someone who lives in the NW, there is a Starbucks across the street from the Starbucks, I was in SHOCK not to see one in the Disney area.

We did have an iced mocha from the cart by the castle, they were decent. I also had a hot mocha at the Blue Ribbon, had to have something to wash down my Mickey cookie! Not bad...

If I am remember correctly the cart in that serves La Brea had a sign saying they serve starbucks coffe.. but I think that just means coffee..not espresso based drinks etc.

I agree compass has some good coffee!

Putting on my to do list next time we go to experience the Disney Coffee :yay:

They have the BEST iced Mochas at Carnation Cafe! This was the highlight of my breakfast and I really looked forward to it each time we were there. Very tasty! You can get skim milk or regular - YUM :woohoo:

LOL the only time we used our rental car during the Disneyland portion of our trip was for DH to drive to Sbux each morning for our addiction!!

The days before he got there and I was with my non-coffee drinking friend I ran on adrenaline and tried a Nescafe in Critter Country and only could choke down about half the cup. Ugh.

Okay, I absolutely HATE all coffee at DLR and WDW. So my response would be find a Starbucks or something similar somewhere in Anaheim and don't subject yourself to the coffee at Disney. . .

I have heard that Disney has exclusive lifetime contracts with Nescafe ... to my knowledge, there will never be a Starbucks on a Disney property. :sad2:

Many people have said that, but then others say they were told at Storyteller's that it was a different coffee...there are just so many things that CMs say about the coffee! I was told by the Storyteller's server that it's Nescafe, but a special blend for them.

Compass has been said to have Peets, Starbucks, and some unknown-to-me coffee company, and also Nescafe. :upsidedow

I remember reading that there might be something going on with the Nestle stuff (I thought YAY b/c I do TRY to avoid Nestle to a large extent, though it's rather impossible since they are even part of stinkin' Haagen Dasz), so who knows what might happen in the future?

All I know is that I"m looking forward to my iced or hot latte and chocolate chip cookie snack. :)

starbucks is for rookies:rotfl: anybody from oregon that knows dutch bros coffee know that it way better especially the 911 its like 4-5 shots of espresso in a 20 ounce coffee:scared1:

but back to the topic at hand i know there is a starbucks north of hojo(or is it south) its away from the rest of the hotels and theres a coffee place in the ramada complex. this will be my test center on the next trip seeing how it looks like the park is open 8-12 and we will be going all day:banana:

If they have latte's and mocha's I'm sure they offer all 3 choices of milk. I think a lot of people drink non-fat. me included. Have you tried the iced non fat carmel machiato? OMG so good, but then again I do get extra extra carmel:thumbsup2 just had one this morning in fact

This might be heresy, but I plan to bring my own coffee and cup, brew it in the hotel while others are getting ready, bring some non-fat milk (using the fridge in the HoJo), Splenda and a small spice jar of cinnamon and make it myself using this recipe:

Cinnamon Latte

1 1/4 cups regular grind espresso or other dark roast coffee
Cinnamon to taste
6 cups water
1/3 cup Splenda
2 1/2 cups fat-free milk
