I am going to try to upgrade (depending on the cost) our stateroom when we check in at the port.

Do I go through the regular check-in line first? If not, where do I go to check on upgrades? Thanks.

you should check now and see if your cruise is sold out or close to it. if you really want an upgrade, it's best you do it before your trip. depending on what category you have booked now, there may not be anything available to upgrade to.

No, lots of categories available. Am willing to take the chance to upgrade at port to save some $$$

So does anyone know the answer to the original question?

you go thru the regular check in line - when you check in you can see about upgrading - a friend of ours did that last year

I did this. Disney had upgraded us about 3 weeks before, but I thought I'd ask what it cost to upgrade again. I was in the regular line and when there was a room to upgrade to the CM said I would need to go to the Supervisor in the far right hand aisle. She held my new room until I could get through the new line to pay for the new room. Booked a cat 11, Disney upgraded us to a cat 8, I paid $358 to get into a cat 5! Pure magic!:earsboy:

Good luck!

How does this work with luggage? Since you already checked your luggage to a different room, does it take longer to get to you. If so is the delay noticable?

Our luggage was at our room by the time the sail away party was over. Maybe 6 pm. I know all of the other Disers had thiers way before this but we had late seating so it wasn't an issue for us.

The veranda made it all worthwhile!
