Well, we are readjusting our touring plan. My mom was intending to join us on the first six nights of our upcoming trip, and since she wanted to visit USO with us, we were limited as to which day we went. Now, she has decided not to go, and so we are reconstructing what days we should visit each park.

We only have one day to visit USO. However, we really want to get as much as we can out of the experience. Here are the attractions that matter to us:

US: The Simpsons, Men in Black, Rip Ride Rockit, and if there is time, the Mummy, JAWS, and maybe see Shrek.

IOA: We want to see all of Harry Potter World and ride all the rides there, and also The Hulk and Spider-Man.

We will be in Orlando 8/2-8/15. So, my question is, what is the best day of the week to try to accomplish all of this in one day? And does anyone have a good strategy for how best to go about this?

Thanks!:goodvibes

August is still peak summer crowd levels so everyday will be busy but you should stick with Tuesday-Thursday to keep the crowds at a minimum. WWoHP will take more time so IOA should be first and get that out of the way and spend the rest of the day doing the other attractions on your list.

so true what metro stated.

also, do start with parry hotter as it will get crowded quickly.

some of the rides/shows you mentioned you want to do at the studios, do not open when the park opens.

if you hit that park after 11, all rides/shows will be open then.

Thank you! I think we will plan on visiting on Tuesday, and starting with WoHP. I know that we need to get to FJ as soon as possible, so I am hoping that it opens when the park does? If the lines are really terrible that day, we may decide to purchase the Express once we are there, and that way we can do everything on our list once. If I understand this all correctly, only FJ and the Rip Ride don't use the Express, so if we ride FJ first thing, and then decide we want the Express, only the Rip Ride will pose a wait problem for us. Does that seem to make sense as a plan? Does it matter what order we visit the other attractions?

it makes sense.

if you buy the epp, you purchase it for one park only.

when you have used the epp up and have seen all, then hop over to the studios side.

Wow, I didn't realize that. I am not sure, but if the EPP is only for one park, and we are starting in WoHP/IOA, would it make more sense to wait and buy it at the Studios? The only EPP rides we'd be looking to ride at IOA would be the Dragons, the Hulk, and Spider-Man. Since we would be hitting the Studios later in the day, it seems like the lines will be longer, and since we want to experience 3-5 EPP attractions, would we get more benefit from buying the pass there?

You can purchase a two park EP for a little more than the one park but most of the attractions you want to see have single rider lines you can take advantage of. Spending money on the EP may not be a good decision. You will have to see what the lines are like once you arrive before making the decision to purchase the EP.

Just about everyday you're here the two park EP is $55.99 each as opposed to the one park EP which is $39.99 for the Studios and $49.99 for IOA. It's a better value to get the two park but if you use the single rider lines, you should be good.

Thank you so much for the help. :goodvibes I haven't been to Universal in almost four years and a lot has changed!
