We're going to Disney in June with the DXDP. I just found out my best friend and her daughter are going to join us for 3 days in the middle of our trip. Right now we are planning to go to Magic Kingdom on one of those days and have an ADR for dinner at CP for 7:05pm. My thinking was that we could have dinner and then be on Main Street to hang around and watch the parade and then Wishes.
Originally the next day was a scheduled "break" to just rest and relax at the resort. But since we'll have friends along I"m re-thinking what to do. I had the idea of possibly going back to MK the next day (the 3 kids are 9,9, and 5) and putter around. I was able to get an ADR for 8:20am at CP for breakfast that day so that we could actually walk in and have pics prior to the park opening.
If we did that - what do you all think of changing the prior day's dinner ressie to Tony's (we've never been there) so we would still be on Main Street when we're done and hopefully can grab a spot for the parade? I'm trying to take advantage of having 2 adults around so that one of us can stake a spot for the parade while the other keeps the kids entertained.
Any other ideas??? Thanks!

I would do CP for breakfast it is a great experience and being in the park prior to opening is nice. As far as Tony's for dinner it is ok, we have done it once or twice and the experience was good.

CP breakfast sounds great. Plus you risk not seeing the parade with a 7 pm dinner since they tends to be behind at CP. I'm not sure you'd be done in time. So I'd do breakfast.

I do worry though about being up too late for the parade and then having to be in the park by 8 when you technically should be "resting". Is it possible to have an earlier dinner the night before some place and then do the parade another night?

Tony's isn't very good imo. It was like a bad olive garden. In Mk I'd go liberty tree tavern or look at a resort.
