? re Target $10 gift card for $75 spend - how does this work w/ Redcard?

I am really confused. I made 3 separate purchases. It appears that the value of the $10 Target card was subtracted from each transaction instead of actually mailing me gift cards. For instance, I was charged $85 for the 2 Disney ($50) cards. Anybody else???

Omg!! You are exactly right! I just went back and checked and my order confirmations had $95 but my shipping notices had $85. I know at the stores they usually add the gift card then back it out so I wonder if they made a mistake? I checked my checking account and I was only debited the $85 not $95 (7 times). I did receive three $10 Target cards from some of my orders today so who knows?

Thanks for the heads up now I'll need to really watch!

Speaking of mistake.... I got a bubble mailer from Target.com with NO GIFT CARDS IN IT! Just an invoice for $100 in DGCs. Empty! I am missing $100 in Disney Gift Cards! I am hopping mad! I bought $900 in DGCs and got $800 delivered. At least I'm truly not out any money. I'll be getting $100 in Target GCs soon. I did call Target.com. I should be getting a call from their "gift card specialists" soon...

I thought I read in the fine print that rather than sending $10 gift cards, they would take the $10 off the total, sort of assuming you would like to spend your Target gift card immediately.

I wish! I've gotten some 2 Target GCs in the mail. They arrive separately in a regular paper envelope in with the junk mail.

Last November (Black Friday) I bought an iPod online through Target. The deal came with a $40 or $50 Target GC. They reduced the amount of the iPod charge by the GC amount but then charged the gift card amount later once the Target GC shipped. I'll bet we'll all see the $10 charges hitting our accounts within a few days.

I would strongly suggest that everyone call the phone # or check online to make sure EACH and EVERY Disney gift card has been activated. Target has been known to ship unactivated gift cards.

I didn't read this anywhere and it was pretty clear, spend $75 and get a $10 Target gift card. Each order clearly listed the $10 Target card and also I got shipping notices on the $10 Target gift cards as well. It's all very quirky, but thanks

Yep, me too - I've received three so far so again, just hope they all show up as I have no idea how they'd track these but that's going to be their issue not mine, if they don't all show up!

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking! I mentioned in the store they add the gift card amount that you've earned, then back it out later so it nets zero. I was fully expecting this until I also saw they only debited the $85. I want them to bill the right amount so I hope if they do bill the $10 it will be soon! I can't imagine the phone calls they'd get if they do it that way as I'm sure that's very confusing for people!

Agreed!! I meant to note this yesterday since I had read this on another thread some time back. I always log in to the Disney gift card site and check my balance online and I've done it with every card I've received so far and all have $50 loaded, thank goodness. Great advice!

I got my three packets of 2, $50 gift cards on one day and then my three packets of $10 target gift cards yesterday in the mail.

But low and behold, I went to check my bank account and sure enough, $85 charges. Thank you target!

I also had the $85 charge for my two Disney gift cards but today it has been fixed. I logged in to my Target account this morning and they added a $10 charge making it the original $95.

Just checked my Red Card account and this is what I saw, looks like the $10 charge for the gift cards should be hitting my account soon.

If I don't have the other three tomorrow I feel like I'll need to call. I don't want this dragging on forever now they have charged me (as they should have) for the $10 cards now.

Awww thanks! No my Target gift cards are literally trickling in Did you end up calling yet??? I need them all here so I can get 2 more Disney gift cards before we leave! I think I'll call Sat. if I don't have them all by then. I'm on my third out of my 3 12 hr night shifts at the hospital and I am going to be a zombie on Friday... But OMG only 2 more weeks till Disneyland!!!!!!

What's up with the $10 Target gift cards? I have only received 3 of my 7 gift cards and I believe two came one day and the other on another day and it's been at least five days now since the last one!

I think I might be calling tomorrow after the mail comes if I don't get them or at least a couple more. Like you guys, I'm wanting my additional $30 so I can go get another Disney gift card.
