re-sticking acrylic stamps?

Can someone please tell me how to get acrylic stamps sticky again? A few of mine don't stick to the block anymore. I washed them in soapy water, but I must have done something wrong because it didn't make any difference.

I'm trying to organize my space and tools and this is just one of the many things that I have put off. I'm really trying to get things organized, fixed up, and use up those cute kits that I bought and are now collecting dust.

Also one of my DD's friends used Sharpie marker on a couple of my acrylic stamps and if anyone knows how to get that off I'd appreciate it.

I can help with this one! Permanent markers can be washed away with acetone, so if you have some nail polish remover, put a little on a q-tip and it should come right off.

Have you tried washing the blocks as well?

Worst case scenario, find some repositionable tape to put on the back

I used a little bit of the spray adhesive on the block and it worked. I took the stamp off right away and even used a second stamp on the block without any problem.

Thank you for the finger nail polish remover tip. It worked beautifully.

I cleaned my blocks and I will see if that helps on the sticking issue. What I don't understand is that I have 2 sets of stamps that totally won't stick and then I have other sets, made by the same company, that do stick
