It says ages 5 and up -- one of my DD will be almost 5 (6 weeks away) - will she be allowed to go or is she really too young? She LOVES roller coasters so the motion would NOT affect her! How strict are they on the age?

Golden Eagle?? We just returned 3-23 and did the Golden Eagle and it was GREAT!!!! The boat ride was sooo much fun!!! Did see a few kids "lose it" but other than that....most of the kids had a blast!!!
I don't think they would question DD's age......Have a GREAT time!!!!!!

As far as whether the 5 year old would like it - my husband went on it last week and though it would be fine

As far as whether Disney will let you book it - I tried to book the America Cup for my son who would be 12 within a week but the computer wouldn't let them book. All excursions handled by outside companies subcontracting with Disney so they are really strict

Lisa I was hoping you'd reply. Never even considered this excursion until I looked at your pics - they were great. Your little one looks younger than 5 so that's why I asked about age restriction. Went Oct. 2000 and didn't do any excursions so I thought this time we'd try one (or two). Has anyone gone on an excursion and left little ones on the boat? My youngest is only 3 so thought that was too young so if I can't take my 4 year old she will still have a sister in the club with her and we'll take the two older ones (6,9). BlazerGB- you posted while I was typing so thank you for the info. All I can do is try! Did your DH like it?

Disney6-Actually my youngest just turned 6 in Feb.:)

I just loved that catamaran!!! I actually didn't even snorkel. We went with DH, MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL and the 2 kids. They all went to snorkel and I stayed on the beach with the kids....next to the "well stocked cooler" the crew brought on the beach:D :D :D

Man......I wish you could see the video I have of it!! It is so great....the waves, the great loud music......feels like you are there again!!!! I WANT TO GO BACK!!!!!!!!

Oh...and on the way back....we were right on the side of our ship and the GE crew played YMCA and everyone was doing it....it was GREAT!!!!!!!!

We were on the same trip with Lisa and it was really fun except for the few kids that threw up. My 7 year old sat next to one that barfed and he almost lost it. I heard that it's calmer in the morning but don't know how accurate that is.The snorkeling was NOT good.It was a blast coming back-smooth sailing and passing out beer and champagne and sub sandwiches. Singing to YMCA coming into the port was AWESOME!!!!!!Have fun!I'd leave the 2 little ones on the ship and take the older two.Mine(7&9) sat in the very front and got splashed a ton.

but you can't pre-book it because of the computer's limitations. you have to ask when you get on board. our son is not quite 3 1/2, and there was another boy on board who was not even 3. they just can't go snorkeling. they do have vests for kids that size to wear. on the way out (we did in the morning, so it's not really better, as someone thought it may be), lots of people were getting sick in the back. my oldest and i sat out from on the webbing (ds loved getting splashed with the waves) while dh was back with youngest and middle ds. on way back to magic, it was much calmer and we all rode up front on the webbing.

this was my personal favorite of our trip....something i will want to do again and again. my only complaint was that there wasn't enough time spent at the island...most of it was spent getting there and back, plus trying to get the anchor to stay in the sand once we "docked."

Disneykids....I agree.....my favorite thing too!!! And I too, wish they would spend more time on the island!!! We were on the morning trip too.....I didn't think it was "too bad"...but if that was the "calmer" trip, I would love to try the pm to see if it is even more wavy!!!:D :D

Disney6 - Husband and son loved the catemaran trip - they were on the early morning boat and no one was seasick. They went the next day in St. T on the Doubloon excursion and loved that one even more - they said the snorkeling was much better there. Hope that helps.

Great - now I have another excursion to consider! Ha Ha. Actually my DH and DS10 want to do Atlantis in St. T. They were not able to get on the last cruise. Maybe I'll do it!!!!!!!!!!! I don't really care about the snorkeling (although we are scuba divers) I just want a beach to remember in my dreams!!!!

What time is the Doubloon Tour in St. T ?

There are two - they took the early one - the pro is here is that you have to get up early on st t day to do the immigration thing in the theater so you may as well get up and go - also gives you the whole afternoon to explore st t.
