re-sizing pics to post?

Hi all!
Am trying to get some pics sorted to post here from our trip but the programme I used on my old computer wont work on this newer one.

I just want to make the pixel size smaller as at the moment they'd fill about 6 computer screens.
Can anyone help with how to do it please?

Raci, if you upload them to "imageshack", free to use, then you can choose to resize them when you upload and there is a size specifically for forums/messageboards. It's what I used for my last trip report.
