? re: separate credit cards, same room reservation?

Two years ago when we went w/my MIL on her DVC points, we were all on the same reservation in a 2-bedroom at WL and could only attach one credit card to the room. At the end of our week we had to get our preliminary bill, figure out who had what coded room key, and do our own math to put my family's charges on our credit card prior to check out and then the balance could go on my MIL's which was attached to the reservation.

We'll be at BLT in a 2-bedroom (so same reservation/room) next week and I am wondering if anyone knows if WDW has come into the 21st century and is able to attach different credit cards to different room keys? They attach a name to each KTW card and each card has a different code so you'd think they'd be able to figure it out, or maybe they have and I have to say some super secret squirrel password to get them to actually do it when we check in?

If not, I'll deal with doing the math myself at the end.

For "regular" resort rooms, yes, you can attach different credit cards to different KTTW cards. However, at DVC properties, this is not allowed - it tends to get messed up in the computer system and causes many headaches for Cast Members and guests. Since you're staying at BLT, I'd recommend doing what you did last time - get the preliminary bill and separate it out the day before. Hope you have a great vacation!

Thanks for your reply. I guess I just don't see the difference once we're checked in, in charging to the room. I mean, I'm on the same dining plan as regular room reservations, I'm paying the same amount of money in the shops and it's charged to my KTTW card the same way. Just seems like they're keeping things this way for Disney's sake, not the customers. Esp. at DVC resorts where you're likely to have more than one family unit on one reservation in the 2-and 3-bedroom villas, it seems like those are the places where it would be best to be able to split up credit card costs. Oh well!
