We are considering putting in a resale offer at BWV for 150 points. There are currently 219 points for 2011, and 150 points coming on 12/1/12. What would be a reasonable offer? The listing price is $67pp, but I've heard people say they've paid as low as $55 recently for BWV. Also, is there a list publicized showing all of the recent DVC re-sale transactions and how much they sold for? Thanks!

There is a current list....Current ROFR list by Donald#1

I recently bought resale through Fidelity and paid $55 for BWV 75 point contract. It did pass and I'm going through the closing process. Don't wait too late, because I dragged my feet once and lost a great contract. I did not have to negotiate, as $55 was the asking price! Good luck. It was my first resale (I own 5 contracts from Disney direct already), and so far, it's been pretty smooth, but I'm not pressed to get this done quickly as I only plan to bank my 2011 points.

Took me four different tries to find an owner who was willing to accept my lower price of $55/pt for BWV.

I would offer what you think you would like to pay and go from there. If you will be disappointed if you lose the contract, then try to think of the price per point you would go to in order for that not to happen.

Good luck!

Some of those 219 points must be banked from 2009 and most of them 2010 points. You are getting 150 points for 2011 (with a Dec UY, your year starts in Dec, not January). So you are going to lose the 2009 points and unless the 2010 points are already banked, you are going to lose them, too because it is already mid-September and it will take 30-60 days to close on that contract, putting you at mid-Nov at the latest. You are not going to get a reservation for November for the number of points you need to use as late as you get them. It is too late to bank any Dec points.

Deb, maybe, maybe not. I have a December use year. I see it as there no points left for 2010. To me, the member banked their 2010 points (which we are still in our 2010 use year) to 2011. Especially since herb says 219 points for 2011.

Thanks! We put a bid in at $57pp. We will wait and see! If not, I'm sure there will be others for us to offer on.

Good luck! That is a very reasonable offer for BWV. It is a buyer's market, so take your time and you will get what you are looking for at a good price.

I agree... there will be another contract. Pay what YOU feel comfortable with. It is a buyer's market.

And to think that DVC just sent me an e-mail telling me that I could but additional BWV points in my use year for the bargain price of $113 per point!
I don't think so...

Curious if your offer was accepted.

The offer I had mentioned above wasn't accepted, however, we did end up putting another offer on a similar contract for the Boardwalk and it was accepted ($62pp). We just got approved for the financing and should be "official" DVC members by December!!
