Do you have a time period for using your points or can I like save them up for a year or two and then redeem them???? It just seems like slow and steady points for me, which is fine, but I don't want them to expire in like 9 months.

I don't think they expire. Not 100% positive but it takes me quite a while to build up my points and I've never had them take points away.

The only reference I could find in the MyPoints Terms of Service agreement was this:

MyPoints.com reserves the right to cancel or disable accounts and expire unredeemed Points in those accounts that are inactive for a period of 12 consecutive months. Inactive shall be defined as lack of one of the following: website visit, email response (click thru), survey completion, profile update or any Point-earning or spending transaction

I usually save them up and get RFC gift cards for our WDW vacations, this time I am saving for them to use at the new TRex Cafe at DTD. I have never had a problem.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO, DUH.. Thanks
I cant seem to find the section that has restaurants. Must be my slow day..:goodvibes

thanks everyone! That's good to know since I won't have enough points for really anything by the time we leave in May. So, I will continue to save them until our next trip, which will be I don't know when.

You can save them but honestly I would cash out after you earn enough for a reward. For example I would not let 10,000 points sit there in my account. I have been with mypoints for years.. but you never know if they will go under like others have. I cash out each time I hit 3500 points.

I'm with you. Rewards programs come & go.

How long is it taking these days to get rewards? I seem to remember it taking forever to get my GC's the last time I redeemed my points.

I have been with them for years too - I think its almost ten! I am not so worried about them going under as price increases so I try to redeem to get the best value on my points.

I have been with mypoints for awhile now and most times I will cash in at 1500 for a $10 card but this time I am holding out for 3000 for a $50.00 card to Walmart so that I can use it for the snacks and things like that to take on the trip in helping out without spending the vacation money

Funny you should mention that, but I just about 10,000 points in my account. That was when I was planning to cash in. I just don't know what to get, so I have been letting them grow.

I've been with mypoints for several years, too, and last year for our WDW trip, I cashed in about 10k or 14k points for web gift certificates and used em to get $100 off of park hoppers from Ticket Mania. It looks like they don't have those anymore. :confused3

I just cashed in for another RFC GC. It was only about 5 days from the day I requested it until the day I received it. I have only been earning points for about a year but I've already earned over $150 in gift cards. I do miss the webcertificates. I used them to buy Disney GC's. Now, I just have 1 more $25 RFC GC to earn for our upcoming vacation and then I have no idea what I will "save" for....here's hoping they bring the "webbies" back!:lmao:
