Was just in the Briar Patch trying to keep my little one cool while rest of my party rode splash .... and a small group of folks are gathered in the corner by the candy and caramel corn, including Mike Reitzler, couple other chefs, couple blue shirts and a couple others who I can only think were imagineers (they kept talking about visions for the space, layouts, and elements they could tie in, one woman wanted a genuine 50s feel, maybe she meant 1850s????, the other guy was going on and on about bringing in train theming, tying in big thunder) they were talking about food and beverage offerings, including beer ... anyway I lingered and listened as much as I could ... it really sounded like they were looking to overhaul the Briar Patch .... thought some folks here might be interested.

It's not very big so I wonder what the basic concept would be if food & beverage.

Something along the lines of Gaston's because there is minimal room for kitchen space.

Interesting. I can see them taking out the shop from Briar Patch. They have the small shop/photo location on the exit of Splash, so could sell any splash specific merch there, and there are plenty of other merch locations nearby for everything else.

Interesting about the Big Thunder theming, but it'd sure be cool. The location would have to be more of a snack location/bar than a QS. I suspect they could make these changes in Splash's 3 month downtime later this year.

1) I have an ORIGINAL copy of Song-of-the-South.
2) I play it when I get into an nostalgia mood (along with the five Davy Crockett movies)
. . . three original episodes
. . . two combined theatrical releases
3) I wish they would not change the public view of "South", but they can't change MY movies.

Could you explain this more? I read a book about this film so I'm curious about your thoughts.

Honestly the closest restaurant is Pecos bills. There really nothing but those two rides and the raidroad. It would be good to have something over there.

Would like to see them take advantage of how much space they have on TSI, and make it an extension of Frontierland. Lower portion of the island could be something similar New Orleans Square (to go along with the Rivers of America theme) and the upper portion could be Pacific Northwest. You could even make the lower portion 1800s St. Louis, and have the island progress with the Lewis and Clark Expedition. There'd be shops and restaurants in the lower portion, and then a ride or two in the upper portion.

Better yet they could cross the railroad tracks, I believe there's a potential expansion pad over there
